So what are the new items from the patch? - Blizzard Sector

Has anybody found any information on the new uniques and runewords that were supposed to be involved with the new patch? I haven't quite gotten back to playing again and was wondering if it was gonna be worth it for the new content, but so far I don't know what it consists of....

Oh yeah, what about the thing about the bosses and some new quest?

Sorry to bust your bubble, but AFAIK there is no new content in the 1.12a patch. It's basically just a no-cd patch, and that's basically it (other than some kind of Mac-related thing). I see this basically as a way to gradually have less and less support with D2 as they work on the new games in their arsenal. Whether there will be a 1.12b or not is anyones guess...

This patch is pretty much useless, but nonetheless ladder reset and gave everyone a clean slate that wanted it.

I dont really think there will be another update, in the future i think they'll only reset ladder due to Diablo3 coming out.

There are supposed to be 10 new runewords and a few other things according the "what's new" information that came up when the patch was installed. I thought I saw the whole thing here in an older post.

As far as patch release notes go its was just for the no-cd patch for diablo 2 1.12a
