In serious need of help! - Blizzard Sector

Alright, there's no easy way to type this so bare with me. I installed D2 a few days ago and all was well. I hadn't tried logging onto b.net because I didn't have a legit CD-Key. When I had finally found my legit CD-Key that I've had for years I reinstalled the game using the legit key. But before I had a chance to get on B.Net I heard about the 1.09 Relived server so I went to their site and got that all set up. Now I want to go back to regular B.Net so I uninstalled D2 like 3-4 times and reinstalled it but I can't connect. The only realm I can connect to is the Europe realm. Know I just tried installing my Starcraft and I can only connect to the Europe realm on there too. Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be? I've opened ports unblocked it from the firewall and I got nothing. If you have any ideas please help! I'm desperate!

Does the server installtion uninstall? or maybe on the forums they have a fix for that has your internet connection type changed since you last played B.net?

Nope it's always been Comcast. I doubt it was an uninstillation problem because I did a destructive restore so that everything on the computer went back to its factory settings.

Did you use gateway editor at all?

Ya I used one to get onto the D2R private server. Think that's the problem?

Set the gateways back to their defaults. You probably messed up east, west, and asia by accident.

I dled a stealthbot a couple days ago and tried signing in. The stealthbot told me that I was IP banned so I think they banned my IP for trying to sign in to b.net with a pirated key that I used before I found me legit one. I have reinstalled d2 with my legit key but I'm guessing if I'm not banned permenatly then it's at least for a couple weeks. I'll check back later if the problem continues.

in my experience of being banned multiple times, they almost never IP banned me for longer then a day or 2, its usually just a Perm key ban. so i doubt that is your problem.

umm only thing i can think of right now without putting more thought into it would be trying to install it into a different directly then the default or the one you have been using.

sometimes there are caches and stupid stuff that will remember changed settings for the game, even if u uninstall. installing it in a different directory like "C:/program files/D2" instead might work?? worth a try at least.

yes i know it sounds stupid, but more often then not problems are solved by something that simple.
