Iron golem thoughts. - Blizzard Sector

Is it possible to take something with an iron golem charge (metalgrid ammy) and make a really cool iron golem for any character. It sounds like an iron golem isn't as cool as a maras or something. But, my first character ever was a fire sorc, a very crappy fire sorc, I put like 10 points into warmth and stuff. I ran out of skill points rather fast. So what I did was go out with a fort (it was a mule) and then wait for it to cast chilling armor and then took off the fort and the chilling armor was still there.

So my question is, could you put on the metalgrid, cast iron golem, and then take it off and kick some monster ass with an iron golem?

I think it would be a cool idea, make a bunch of non eth insights and stash them for your hammerdin. Or lets say you make a really low botd, or even a pride. I think it would be really cool.

I wonder if chicken works with iron golems as well.

and also i think that when you take off the item with the charges the golen will dissapear.........i think that is

yeah, when you take off the item with the charges the charge disappears, ie - cast oak with hoto, switch to bo with cta oak = gone.

Yeah, it wouldn't work. Like Tap said, once you remove/switch items with the charges on it, the golem/oak dissapears, however I never tested this myself so i'm not sure, it may work but I very highly doubt it.

And too bad that doesn't work, I'd dupe Insights and get a A2 merc w/ infi rofl..
