Here is the list of the shortcut extentions you can add to Diablo2 to tweak it! (For example -w for window mode)

Instructions:
1. Make a shortcut for Diablo 2 if you don't have one already.
2. Right click on the shortcut then click "Properties".
3. Click on the "Shortcut" tab.
4. Right next to "Target:", you will see a field where it shows the target of your original Diablo 2 file (Default is "C:\Program Files\Diablo II\Diablo II.exe")
5. To tweak D2, add the shortcut extention at the END of the TARGET. That means AFTER the QUOTATION MARKS. Be sure to put ONE SPACE between the quotation and the shortcut extention. (Example: "C:\Program Files\Diablo II\Diablo II.exe" -w) Add the "-w" at the end (Don't forget the space!) to play D2 in a windowed mode. I am using "-w" as an example because its the most common shortcut extention.

Now this is the actual shortcut extention list. (PreNote: I'm not sure what all of them do or how they all work, they may be outdated and I think lots of these only work with D2LOADER. I tested most of these and I'll put if they worked or not. I did not test this with D2LOADER. I tested these on Diablo 2: LOD. If you know how to work one of these please tell me how if I couldn't get it to work for me. Also, if you have some that I haven't listed, tell me!)




-act <#>: Sets initial act to #. (>TESTED AND FAILED< )

-ama: Sets character class to Amazon. (>TESTED AND FAILED. NO IDEA WHAT THIS DOES< )

-asn: Sets character class to Assassin. (>NOT TESTED. NO IDEA WHAT THIS DOES< )

-autorest: Auto restart after exit. (>TESTED AND FAILED. NO IDEA WHAT THIS DOES< )

-bar: Sets character class to Barbarian. (>NOT TESTED. NO IDEA WHAT THIS DOES< )

-bn <#.#.#.#>: Sets Battle.Net server IP. (>NOT TESTED BECAUSE I WON'T KNOW IF IT WORKS<)

-bnacct <account>: Sets Battle.Net account name ... e.g. -bnacct "Joker" (>TESTED AND FAILED< )

-bnpass <pass>: Sets Battle.Net password ... e.g. -bnpass "JokerPass" (>NOT TESTED< )

-client: Run in client mode (in game directly). (>TESTED AND FAILED< )

-clientexit: Exit after quitting the game. (>NOT TESTED< )

-d3d: Use direct3d video mode. (>TESTED BUT I THINK I ALREADY PLAY ON D3D MODE SO I DIDN'T SEE A DIFFERENCE<)

-direct: Read files directly from disk instead of MPQ files (for mod makers). Might need -noexit option. (>TESTED AND WORKS! I THINK YOU HAVE TO COMBINE THIS WITH "-txt". YOU NEED THIS IF YOU PUT THE "DATA" FOLDER IN YOUR D2 DIRECTORY.<)

-dru: Sets character class to Druid. (>NOT TESTED. NO IDEA WHAT THIS DOES< )

-exp: Switch to expansion mode. (>TESTED BUT I ALREADY PLAY ON EXPANSION SO I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THIS DOES<)

-fr <#>: Set framerate to # ... e.g. -fr 5 (>TESTED BUT I DON'T KNOW IF IT WORKED OR NOT<)

-gamename <name>: Sets game name ... e.g. -gamename "Murder Death Kill" (>TESTED AND FAILED. AN ERROR COMES UP EVEN BEFORE D2 STARTS WHEN YOU USE THIS<)

-gamepass <pass>: Sets game password ... e.g. -gamepass "Secret" (>NOT TESTED<)

-gametype <#>: Sets game type to #. (>TESTED AND FAILED. NO IDEA WHAT THIS DOES< )

-gamma <#>: Sets gamma to ###. (>TESTED AND FAILED< )

-glide: Use glide video mode. (>TESTED BUT I DON'T KNOW IF IT WORKED, I DIDN'T SEE A DIFFERENCE<)

-hookexe <s>: Sets hook version check game.exe. (>NOT TESTED. I DON'T WANT TO MESS WITH THIS LOL<)

-hookwnd <s>: Sets hook window class. (>NOT TESTED. I DON'T WANT TO MESS WITH THIS LOL<)

-joinid <#>: Sets join ID to #. (>NOT TESTED. I DON'T WANT TO MESS WITH THIS LOL<)

-launch: Runs game in launch mode (the default). See also -server and -client. (>TESTED AND FAILED. NO IDEA WHAT THIS DOES< )

-lng <language>: Sets language. ENG or CHN only. (>TESTED AND FAILED<)

-lq: Low quality graphics, speeds up gameplay. (>TESTED AND FAILED<)

-mcpip <#.#.#.#>: Sets mcpip server IP. (>NOT TESTED. NO IDEA WHAT THIS DOES<)

-msglog: Activate message log. (>NOT TESTED<)

-multiclient: Play multiple instances of Diablo II at once. You can play two characters with one CD key (not on the realms) or use different CD keys. (>NOT TESTED<)

-name <char>: Sets Battle.Net character name ... e.g. -name "JokerChar" (>NOT TESTED<)

-nec: Sets character class to Necromancer. (>NOT TESTED. NO IDEA WHAT THIS DOES<)

-nochar: Skip loading character images (>TESTED AND FAILED<)

-noexit: Do not auto-exit on error or warning ... try to recover. A debug option. (>NOT TESTED<)

-ns: No sound. (>TESTED AND WORKS! THIS IS USEFUL IF YOU LISTEN TO MUSIC WHILE YOU PLAY! A new bug with 1.11b Loader is that -ns does not work when you are discovering an act for the first time, i.e. it's movie time, even if you are playing windowed. -s <#.#.#.#>: Set TCP/IP game server to IP ... e.g. -s 192.168.2.10 (>NOT TESTED<)

-seed <#>: Set map seed to #. (>NOT TESTED<)

-server: Run in server mode, needs d2server.dll. (>NOT TESTED<)

-servername <sname>: Sets game server name. (>NOT TESTED<)

-skiptobnet: Skips the annoying intro videos. (<TESTED AND WORKS! WHEN YOU START D2, YOU WILL IMMIDEATALY LOG ON TO BNET AND SKIP THE INTROS<)

-sor: Sets character class to Sorceress. (>NOT TESTED. NO IDEA WHAT THIS DOES<)

-title <title>: Set window title ... e.g. -title "Diablo II" (>TESTED AND FAILED. I TESTED THIS IN 1.10 AND IT WORKED BEFORE. I THINK YOU NEED D2LOADER TO MAKE THIS WORK<)

-token <#>: Set close game token to #. (>NOT TESTED. NO IDEA WHAT THIS DOES<)

-txt: For mod creators, generate .bin file. (>TESTED AND WORKS! YOU NEED THIS IF YOU PUT THE DATA FOLDER IN THE D2 DIRECTORY. I THINK YOU NEED TO COMBINE THIS WITH "-direct"<)

-w: Window mode. (>TESTED AND WORKS! YOU WILL PLAY IN A WINDOW WHEN USING THIS. GOOD FOR PEOPLE WHO IM AND DO OTHER STUFF WHILE PLAYING D2<)


Well that's the list. I'm sorry that so many of them don't work, I think you need D2LOADER to make most of them work. Someone with D2LOADER please test these! I think most of these would work if tested with D2LOADER.
You can also combine multiple shortcut extentions! You have to put a space between each extention. (Example: "C:\Program Files\Diablo II\Diablo II.exe" -w -ns -skiptobnet -direct -txt) I got this list from another site and I thought I should post this here. If you play in windowed mode, it disables the movies you get when you complete an act, and I think it makes you crash each time you discover a new act for the first time. The registry key where the shortcut extentions are saved is "HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Blizzard Entertainment/Diablo II/CmdLine" If you have some that are not listed here, please tell me and I will add them!

no i gotta refrase this whole thing...its not that they DONT work...its that they failed for me bcoz i DONT HAVE D2LOADER...wen i used to have d2loader i used sum of those which now dont work for me...so ppl with d2loader test these and ill put sumthing like "D2LOADER ONLY" to help ppl out! where i got this list the guy already tested all of these and deleted the ones that dont work...thank you...btw i just wanna earn sum rep since im new and i wanted to get that stickied so hopefully lets see if ppl like this lol

A new bug with 1.11b Loader is that -ns does not work when you are discovering an act for the first time, i.e. it's movie time, even if you are playing windowed. I suggest that you add that in there somewhere.

hey also btw...sumwhere, i dotn knwo where but i read a few extra commands that i wanna add but i dont know where i read them....there was a command that stops ur d2 window from moving wen d2 launches....and another one that stops d2 from taking up 100% cpu usage....i think it was sumthing like -Sleep(1) but im not sure....so if u know more commands, plz tell me and ill test them then add them...

d2 hack pack and then go into the downloads area or w/e, its somewhere around thar and lots of commands to use. even for d2loader. which should still be working now.
