First off, i said some parts of Europe, for one im ukranian and in ukraine if there are homosexuals running around openly, it wont end in happiness....Christ is about peace, but He is also about people not choosing gayness and lesbianisms. All i want is for gay people to either die, or stay hidden and not open as they are, although i know i cannot help it here in North America, i can certainly do somethign about it next time i go to ukraine.

Well i am Russian Orthodox and i dont really give a **** what argument you put up with it, just because this is ****ing North America and people have free speech, you can argue what ever you want. notice the correlation, the older members are accepting of homosexuality and the younger ones are the homophobes. homophobia exists in older people obviously, but i do believe our generation (age 17-25ish) is much more accepting than those before it. i think that the younger kids are just ignorant and haven't really learned.

I'm going to get back on gay marriage being legalized in my state and just say my only issue is that an overwhelming majority of Californian's voted against legalizing it. Our Supreme Coutr over turned the voters though.

Now, again, I support it and in fact voted in favor of it I'm just upset that the majority's interests are not being represented.

The peoples interest do not always coincide with what judges and lawmakers find to be lawful. A perfect example would be the Patriot Act. It's incredibly unpopular and many belive it infringes on their basic right to privacy but judges and lawmakers continue to find it legal and well within the rights of the goverment. You can find this in nearly every law on the books in America. There are those who believe the law to be just and those who think it infringes on one of their basic rights.

Being Greek Orthodox myself I must of been absent when they talked about going gay bashing once week although the orthodox religion does not endorse gay/lesbians it doesn't say that you should be violent either and you cannot wish death on anyone.

To me the passing of this law was very needed and has little to do with religious beliefs.

These people live as partners,having all the same responsibilities of any marriage. Yet getting none of the benefits a marriage brings as far as legal rights as a spouse.

Up until now,they have fought an up hill battle to attain any right a husband or wife have under the law.

This change was long overdue and I support it.

I completely agree with you but my point is they asked us what we wanted and then gave us what they wanted anyway. I got the result I voted for but I was not of the majority on this issue. That's my only complaint.

I dont hate blacks, jews or any race, when i applied that there should be another Hitler, i ment the morality of the people who choose to be homosexuals. Btw as i said befor ei am not catholics, i am russian orthodox. I do understand that my religion does not invoke on violence, however you can call me an extremist in this case only as i am against homosexuals. As to them doing anything personnal to me, yes there has been incidents where i have felt extremely uncomfotable and i have before been sexually harassed and assaulted by a gay person in the past. It was one of the worst experiences in my life and ever since i have become a person of complete hatred against all homosexuals. I only wanto raise my opinion for this thread, please dont mention other threads as i have not said anything about anyone else that has nothign to do about this topic. I undestand that a lot of you disagree with my opinions, but they are my opinions and what i believe in.
