nah man, for them to get a missile to connect with the US would be a miracle. we have missile silos clear across the whole country waiting for anything like this to happen. within seconds of a nuke deployment, heading in our general direction, there would be multiple anti missile aircraft and rockets deployed to blow up the bomb in mid air. im from wyoming and they have nuclear missile silo's under the capital city of the state (cheyenne) and literally hundreds of hidden underground silos clear across the state. the only way they could get us with a nuke or anything like that would be plant it from the inside and detonate it on ground. and even that would be virtually impossible. it wont happen.

HOWEVER there are things much much MUCH worse the nukes and bombs. u can poison millions of ppl by simply contaminating a water source or food sources. thats our weakness. any military tactics would be futile.

the only way that we could really attack NK is IF we had the help of everyone. we cannot do it alone, and the biggest part would be china. they are NK neighboor, and communist ally. if we piss off china, we are dead. however, if china helps us, we are fine.. for the most part

we have now implimented UN sanctions and stuff like that.. personally, i would like to see NK invaded b/c its citizens are starving, and taking down its gov would help the people

Put it this way. We KNOW where their nuclear objects are. We drop our nuke, on their nuke, there goes NK. Besides, I think he saw what we did to Japan back in the 1940's, and NK aint that much bigger, and I'm sure we have 10x more powerful Nukes than 60 years ago, it pretty much isn't in NK's interest to get into a war with the US (And much less China, japan, and Russia.) GOD help them if they mess with Russia. Not even Hitler could take Russia, so who's this NK leader to think he will? ROFL.

And good point above, there is NO way NK will EVER get a nuke/missle this far (That goes for EVERY country basically), we're pretty much invulnerable to air attacks, however like the above poster said, an on land attack (Water, Food, etc supplies) would devastate us.

Basically NK is at the feet of its dictator and only he has the power to destroy the lives of his millions of puppets, I mean citizens.

They already said, The US, that they do not have capabilities of sending a nuke to the shores or nation of the US. Also "the U.S. has 29,500 troops in South Korea, plus other air and naval forces in range. While the U.S. has no land-based nuclear weapons in Asia, it does have submarines equipped with nuclear weapons." And relaying on the blitzkreig tactic useing China might not be possible seeing how China is not really complying with the boycotts and already said they are not going to search for, ban or confuscate nuclear materials and weapons coming in or out of NK. China is also allied with NK and is their main food source for the nation.

Americans didn't use Blitzkrieg, the Germans did. The reason for why you managed to defeat the German armies was because they had overextended and could no longer keep all their frontiers safe.

I don't think that you guys understand that if anyone nukes another country, we can all pretty much say goodbye to each other. Just out of interest, play Fallout 1/2, fantastic games. They take place in a post-apocalyptic scenario of how WW III broke loose. Pretty interesting. Just a game, but interesting nevertheless.

My god. Firstly, the nuke that Korea detonated was a sub-kilton blast. Just so you know, a 'weak' nuke is 5-15 kilotons (like the ones dropped in japan). He has demonstarted to the world he cannot build an effictive nuke, and he cannot build an effective cruise missle. He has pretth much made himself at odds with the Entire UN, and every single country that borders NK hates them (Russia, China, South Korea). The nearby countries of Tiwan and Japan also vehemently hate NK.

North Korea may have a large army, but their nation is poorly equipped and pretty much starving. If they even think of using a nuclear weapon against another country the combined ordance of their enemies is more than enough to turn North Korea into a glass crater. And for those forseeing the 'doomsday' war, think again. The US has conducted over a hundred nuclear tests on our own soil, ranging anywhere between 1 to 150 kilton blasts (and larger). And guess what? There is no nuclear winter, no deserted wasteland, no worldwide cancer epidemic.. After several years the radiation from a nuclear blast diffuses to 'save' levels.
