I actually like rap because they are actually written by the artist themselves unlike other genres where most of the songs are written by song writters. I'm probably going to rent or if my friend buys it I'm going to borrow it.

There are some realy good bands that have never touched drugs. Gene Simmions from KISS has never even touched alcohol. They still rock. And most DO write there own songs. The great ones DO write there own songs. Kurt Cobain from Nirvana only did his own songs. To express what he was feeling. Sure some of them were album fillers, but most reflect on him. To me, an artist's songs should reflect his life. I like a song if it some how sends a message to me. I do not confine my self to a label such as "punker", "rocker", "emo", "metal head", ETC.

Lol this is going to turn into flame. And if a rocker did make a video game I wouldn't buy it, I think that's just a horrible idea for celebrities to make video games. And bands do write their own songs, you're thinking pop, they hire song writers. You're talking shit about AC/DC when all 50 Cent's "thug rap" is is about being rich and tough. It's either pimping, driving cars, or going to clubs and partying. And Kraka says rock is redundant w/ subliminal msgs, it shouldn't be hard to figure out those are sexual inuendos. You're saying rock is "blah blah blah" when rap , where the people that are "singing (talking with a beat in the backround imo)" are either former drug dealers, convicts, or grew up "in da hood" where there are gang wars where people shoot at each other for walking on each other's side of the neighborhood. Oh, and "I'll take you to a candy shop, I'll let you lick a lollipop?" You're saying that that is so much different than song titles from ac/dc?
