A little off topic, but I've been seeing it everying, and I'm sick of it.

The genre of "pop" isn't a genre, it's just popular music. So in this last few years, pop hasn't been boy bands and ****s with soundtracks, it's been gangstas with their *****es and arsenals of weapons.

Sadly enough, yes, very few people in the music industry today write they're own, heartfelt music. I don't respect someone that gets some famous fag with a pen to write them some "hip" music, but if an artist expresses their feelings or current events, things happening to them, even their life stories to the public through songs (Sometimes funny, sad, enlightening, depressing etc) and leaves the public to decide to like it or not, that my friend is music. I don't have any prefrences from rap to death metal, as long as they mean what they say and they aren't doing it for the fame, or cash.

every "new" genre of music is an act of defiance against the old. an attempt to create a new self-image. to declare independence and a separation of generations
yet im listening to music right now that came out almost 20 years before i was born. in fact my parents should have liked this music. but i dont care
i say good music is good music no matter when you were born or what your preference is. it's just this stupid rivalry between rap and rock. who says you cant love both?

Thats cool and all but it is drug money, in my eyes it is just as valuable as money you get from inheritance fraud.

My views are that any music you hear on the radio is almost bound to be bad. Radio these days buy short quick and catchy songs from the recording companys, the shorter the song the more commercials, underground music is so much better.

+ living in any low income housing area tends to suck, but noone cares besides you, if we cared we would ask, friends is about personality, not money.
