I was just wondering what effect on the middle eastern peace process this will have. I personally think that this won't really have that big of an effect on it, as the war between the Israeli's and the Palestinians has been going on for thousands of years. But some people seem to think that his death will bring peace. So what effect do you guys think this will have?

What i think is that if their new leader isn't strong enough, that the PLO could collapse, and the Palestinians will probably begin to split up into little sects like it was before Arafat. Afterall is was Arafat that united the Palestinians together. So, we'll have to wait and see.

The british had created this whole mismatch of countries in the middle east since the Ottoman Turks were defeated in ww1 because they had sided with the Germans. After this they had broken up and so britain had the great idea to split it up between religions and races and shit causing the biggest trouble the world has ever seen. Then in what 48? (correct me if im wrong) britain had the brilliant idea to take palestinian land and make it for the israelis. Overall Arafat was a pretty good leader, you cant deny this. He had lived in total solitude because he was constantly in attack. Think of how bad his life was because he was trying to get back what was his and what shouyld be rightfully his land. America is on the Israeli side for hell knows why so this is good news here supposedly. I like Arafat personally but theres nothing i can do about that war. You just have to leave them alone and totally ignore them. They will eventually settle the conflict amongst themselves. Now that Arafat is gone tho we will have a huge internal dispute among Palestinians that will not only cause them to kill one another but kill civialians in the streets and cause many casualties. I personally wouldnt want to live there at the moment nor be a Palestinian because the Israelis are the toughest fighters in the world IMO. Thats all i have to say. |
