i've never really 2v2 dueled so i could be way off, but IMO fire sorc and wind druid are the top 2 1v1'ers, so they would probably make a pretty good 2v2 combo. | |

(don't laugh) Skelemancer with decked out merc (the merc is all that matters for necro but with all the skeles then the merc can't be killed easily) He doesn't really need that great of gear, just an assload of auras. Necros merc items (dream, dragon, pride or infinity depending on other team mate) not too cheap for non ladder though This guy will be good with these chars. Charger that can protect the necro while they are being drained or life and kill the high res chars. Plus he can add a new aura for the skeles as well. Windy druid that will kick some caster ass while the necro protects his precious merc Barb with high BO, that can tank. Any suggestions or should I be called a noob?

Curses are bm so you'll be going up against 75% resi and on some rare occasion you'll find a smiter with death set gloves, he'll be able to take you out 1v2. We'll be all so skilled after sorbing a fire soso so that he'll heal us. Diablo 2 pvp is very unbalanced that's why people have created common sense rules for duelling. Just so that we are clearer on what is bm and gm i'll give an example of a set of rules, these tend to vary from realm to realm though. I like these ones, i've ripped them form d2jsp european pvp subforum. Rules General - No hacks of any kind. (Yes, maphack is banned, if caught using maphack, you will get kicked/banned from ladder) - No healing potions/shrines - No charges from items (lt, slow missile, amp dmg, oak etc.) - No prebuff (ie. you have to choose between memory/cta for sorc) - After you have bo'ed and cast es etc. you cannot go into stash. That is an instant loss. - No mercenaries, no nk, no badmannering any kind. - Dodge limit is 3 days - You can only challenge a person 1 or 2 spots ahead of you. - Duels are first to 3 or 5 (Challenger will have last word on this). - Game must be played on nightmare. - Only one account is allowed on this ladder. - Challenger must pm challenged for duel on jsp, challenged must answer. - If both agree on the result of the duel, no screens needed. Take them just in case though. - Map must be cleared of all monsters. - Duel starts when _both_ of the players have said ".go" (notice the dot). - Inventory must be full. - If a player is requested to show screen of his/her belt or inventory and/or map, it must be done asap with /time visible. No going into stash. Minimap must be visible. Screen can be posted here or sent by pm. - If a player is requested to show equipment, it must be done asap without going in to stash. - If player drops from a game when screenshot or inventory check is requested, that counts as an automatic loss to the player. - Rejoining the game only because of charge bug, anya bug or some other good reason is allowed. - Replenish life is capped at 20. Except Paladins can use 33 repl life against Druids. - If #19 or #20 is challenged by a non-ladder player and he loses, he will drop out of the ladder. - You need to wait 24 hours before dueling the same opponent again Absorb/Res rules - When dueling trapper, hybrid, java, litsorc or firesorc, maximum absorb is 20% OR +10% maxres (tg is allowed even it has +10%maxres and 20abs). - When dueling against blizzard sorc, you are allowed to use 20% absorb + maximum of 240% stacked resist. (NW is not counted as abs) - When dueling against orb sorc, you are allowed to use 20% absorb + maximum of 180% stacked resist. (NW is not counted as abs) - When you are facing for example fire sorc you don't have to worry that you got too much cold abs or stack etc. Class-specific rules Necromancer: - Necromancer may not use the skills bone prison, bone wall, revive, decrepify, iron maiden. - May not use firegolem against fire sorceress. Assassin: - Assassin using dual claws: May use only 5% maxres or 10% abs vs fire or light sorc May use 1 raven + 200% stack resis vs blizz sorc May use 1 raven + 150% stack resis vs orb sorc Paladin: - Paladin may not use any auras that replenish life (prayer, meditation and cleansing if you skilled prayer) Druid: - When druid is dueling any pure melee character, duels are held at normal difficulty. - Druid facing FoH: No wolves allowed. - You can't use absorb or maxres with Cyclone, except vs assassins normal absorb rules apply. Sorceress: - You can't use absorb or maxres with ES. Restricted/banned items - Exile, Draculs, Laswish (only banned if you can cast lifetap with your attack) - Doom (note: only when dueling against melee char or a trapper. vs other chars, doom is allowed) - Rising Sun - Griswold helm - Blackoak shield d2jsp Forums -> 1 V 1 Ladder , Rules And Challenges |
