I have heard some guys telling that andy nightmare has good drops but most of the people mf in hell.... 2)What is the mf level a player must have to find good uniques? Is it like "As much as better" or does it have to be a preset number?I have heard that the perfect mf is close to 400% 3)What is the best character to mf?Hammerdin or sorces? Thanks be sure that I will post more questions as soon as my mf level will increase. |

1. Andy NM has a slightly higher chance than anyone else in the game to drop SOJs, ALL the rest of her drops will be shite. Andy Hell and Dury hell are the next best. (that goes for all jewelry and charms). Hell is definately the best if your char is strong enough. 2. There is no perfect number, MORE IS ALWAYS BETTER. The First 100-200MF is a large difference. MF from 200-400 have a moderate increase and over 400 have a minmal increase. The most important factor is how fast you can kill. Lets say with 300 MF you can kill 100 act boses an hour with a chance to drop uniques like 20%. That would be 20 uniques. Now if your a Din lets say and you swap out your HOTO for a 6 isted crystal sword you now have 480MF but you lost +3 to skillz and FCR, now lets say you kill 70 act bosses in an hour, but now there unique drop rate is 28% - thats 19.6 uniques. So in this case [with made up numbers] it is slightly better to go with the first. *** Read my guide for MFing 3. Sorceress can have higher MF, but Hammerdins are usually faster and stronger. Definately Lite sorc or din is the best because they have the least number of immunes; but it depends on your prefences. Im personally much better with a din, so its more effective for me than a sorc. Its pretty easily for a Din to have 300MF without sacrificing any killing power, which is enough for finding a descent number of uniques. But if your really serious about it, and your a really good player (cause a high MF sorc can be fragile) the Sorc is the better choice. EDIT: read the guide :) http://www.blizzsector.net/diablo-ii...ht=magic+guide Last edited by mikea454; 07-24-2006 at 03:06 PM..

If you want a recommendation, 350-450 is a good mf area. down to 300 is also good. I found that any higher though and you find more magical items

Seems like the Countess never wants to drop, but i have no problems with Summoner and Nihlathak. Is there a reason for this? I have about 400% and it just seems odd... |
