PAllys witha bow can still be cool. Get a Widow use Fantasm u only need around 60Ias to have last Bp.

and about the zeal thing, if any educated person read the zeal description, it clearly says "adjacent" now i dont know about u, but i dont know why i would even want to shoot monsters adjacent to my pally when i could just swing my sword at them

A fun bow pally before all these newfangled ladder runewords was a Tesladin bow pally. Very high max damage, and with Widowmaker, they were guided. Much insanity. Also works with Holy Freeze, damage from afar, and they're slowed by a lot.
