it's not about the inherent value of an item. for example... a pound coin in england has no use other than buying things.. the same could be said for p.gems in diablo.

I just wish all the rune power and 290 power would stop. blizz should make the randomness of rune drops just a bit better to where many people find it, so to supress the demand for them. 290's should be mass deleted and removed from d2 item websites. all these measures will bring back the value of unique items, which is easy to deal with (i.e. ss for gf or something).

Right now only the rich people dominate the game, just like rich people dominate the world. If something doesn't happen, then there might be a revolt =P

not all rich people dominate the game, if you wanna become rich make a blizzard sorc and mf meph untill u find something like an occy, then keep going untill u find an armor, then a helm, then a belt, then gloves, then boots and you will eventually have established a ground where u can mf bosses untill u find a godly item.

Get a bunch of computer wiz's to send blizzard a shitload of virus's... Or something like that... Anarchy against blizard... cuz they're just making D2 harder for people that just start out... Ive been playing since 1.7 and im stilling having trouble getting what i need... and the whole thing that nublitoria posted, about the runes, thats a ***in banging idea, someone should mention that to blizz... and if i think of the exact words to say, ill do it. But until someone stands up, we're screwed, blued, and tatoo'd.

How come mf cold sorces have become the best ever? I had a pure cold sorc in 09 and she could just survive hell mode (pretty good acomplishment, she had 400 mf too). I found nothing. When 1.10 came out she could barely survive nightmare mode. So I decide to make a fire sorc sense they were supposed to be almighty mf goddesses. Well, I finally make one; just to hear that fire sorces arent good and that cold mf sorces are the best, along with 400 mf... -_-. I wanted to scream.

(If anyone saw my other posts either on this thread or another, this is a classic example of me being ahead of myself in d2. i come up with an idea, everyone says it sucks, i forget about the idea, follow everyone elses examples, only to find out that my original idea kicked ***...)

my prob is just simply that i dont like sorceresses, u gota handle all of these skills and such, mayb its just the smell of magi in the morning that i don't like or something, but i'd rather pick up a sword and stick with it, and i don't like sacraficing damage for mf, i guess thats y i should use a sorc for mf....oh well. life rolls on and i stay alive... fade to black.....

hey what i dont like is the same thing that nublitoria said its the friggin people who alway call u a noob when u beat him. also i dont get it i have really high poison resist 95 on hell to be exact and 1000mp and energy shield at lvl 15 and when ever i kill someone who has like 20 290's he says i hack and im a noob. i absolutely hate that. i knew that when 1.10 was gonna come out i traded a whole shit load of hacks and stuff for really good items and when all the haks were deleted i got a shizn load of good items and screwed a lot of people.

Absolutely not... You need a currency. Look at it this way:

An item has no value if you don't want it. It means item-item trading limits your options. With a currency you can trade all your unwanteds for the currency, and then use that to get what ever you want.

Item-Item trading relies to much on someone wanting what you have to offer, and then them having something you want. I didn't explain that very well I know, but I'm only on my fourth cup of coffee.

What really pisses me off is when someone says "wug" and you show your item(s) which are godly and they say "are you kidding"? so you add one more and they just leave...

i just meant in general trading, when someone asks what you have, and you show them like the best items in the game (equippables not runes) and they say "is that it?". then you say yeah, and they ask for 290's or runes, you say no, and they leave right away. pisses me off.

I feel ya on that one. i also hate a kind of variation of this when a noob has a game titled like"plzz brg free" or something like that, and if u give them stuff, they say something like "this sux" or something along that line. next time this happens to me i will just snap back right at them: "beggars can't be choosers asshole" and leave.
