Not true; Hammerdin Paladins are very good at rushing, if they are build right they are very fast to.

Im just tired of seeing Hammerdins all the time.
I mean.. for baaling I dont care, but for rushing they are all over the place.

Most ive been rushed by is a sorceress.
What you dont see around is amazons and assassins.

Id like to see one of thos rush.
I think a WW assassin would kick ass in rushing.

there is no such thing as a melee character that could rush half as fast as any caster... for some reason melee attacks barely hurt monsters, even when my zealer was doing 9k he could barely kill anything except in one player games -.-think about it guys, d2 has been out for a very long time and people have thought about it over and over again for the best rushers and thats why u dont see ww barbs rushing (well in 09 yeah, but not anymore) and other builds like that because they just cant do it as good as a hammerdin or sorc

I have a Bone/Summoner on non-ladder USEast soft-core, Named Jim-Beam, I have about 15 skellies, 8 Mages, Clay Golem, An a Might Merc w/Insight. He can rush any difficulty, Without a problem. I use Amp dmg for the physical immunes, all other immunes are not worth thinking about, if things get really tight, i use Corpse Explosion. In my experience, This Hybrid, is more enjoyable, than any other char, for rushing. The fun part is killing hell Baal, Just minion stack, Amp, spam spears, Baal=pwnt.

I know this thread, has nothing to do with sorcs, becuase there common but i would have to say that light sorcs > other classes i can do a complete hell rush in like 15 mins or less, all you need is a infinity on your merc, and gg.

I'm still partial to my hybrid zon. Between Magic Arrow, Strafe and Lightning Fury I can kill almost anything. I will admit though, it isn't easy to rush a lot of people at once, gets a little tough. Also I use a barb merc with Tal Rashas Helm, Falmebellow Balrog Blade and a rare Balrog Skin with 9xx def. The fire damage helps a lot, and with the fanatacism from my Faith he does almost 3k. Maiden is the only thing I have senn kill him. I know it isn't "godly" gear but it works well for me.

I've used my wind druid to rush people in hell and it works perfectly. I'd say go with wind druid.

i love a good windy for rushing norm thru hell there fast and kill all most as fast as Hdin!(all most) and yea traper with infity merc owns HELL!!!

This question is very awkward. To be fit into the non-used category, the rusher is probably not very effective in rushing. Wind Druids are popular and effective, or maybe its just because I have used it extensively. But non-used and effectiveness usually goes together. A rusher is not used because its ineffective, and vice versa as it grows more effective, its more widely used. Theres no answer because we cannot identify a clear breakpoint in which we dissociate effectiveness and non effectiveness, used and non-used.

But if I had to choose, I'd choose WW-Barb. I've never been rushed by one, and it can definitely do damage while teleporting at a decent pace.

I'm Wind Druid has so many votes. I thought they are pretty used. Or maybe again, because I myself use one.

Windys are pretty sexy because of their dmg, ability to tele, and summons. I personally don't think its worth going with a build other than hammerdin even though it gets repetitive. Its alot funner owning then having fun with new builds :/

Wow this thread has continued for like four years...the best of that list, if I remember correctly, is a wind druid.

i was once rushed by a fire sorc 1.10, she kicked ass but had to switch chars for act 4.

with my l33t armor, my druid is great for just about anything wind druids are great. at first i thought they were ok, but after making one, it rocked
