Melee is probably better if you got good gear..

Yea, if i had the gear i would have a melee char but I dont..

Well, you can absord lightning, cold and fire, but you can't absord magic. Good BS necro will kick anyone playing with melee.

Melee is good if you have a BOTD or Eternity etc etc but otherwise use a caster if you can't afford the items to make a melee character

Legit dueling your not supposed to use so much of absorb that the sorc can't hurt you so it doesn't matter. I think its one piece of absorb per element i can't remember

melee are expensive as they need really good items for dmg...
rangers like zons are worse...they need really good bows and good def (since they cant use shield)
spell casters are one of the cheapest...

i have a melee zon, she sucks. i have a hammer pally he's better, so since he has to get close a bit to the other guy, im kinda melee/ranged... idunnoo...

Casters all the way i luv my fire sorc and my cold sorc both fun to tele around ppl while woopin up on them :) (as long as they dont have to much absorb) :)

Hammers are a little boring...cos u stand near a enemy and keep pressing shift and clicking...and sometimes whe hammer wont even hit the enemy...it just misses..

yea dats the one thing i hate about hammerdins
i hit every thing except the monster dat i actually want to kill
other than that casters are better for me

I'm defenitaly Melee all the way, My barb can kill damn near anyone but hammerdins, even them I kill sometimes, I have absorb gear lots of life, high def, good dmg, and lots of resists. :)

All my guys are melee, I have Zlot, Vengeance pally(1 hit kills :) ), Frenzy barb, and conc/ww Barb my only caster is sorc and shes for mf only

the thing about hammerdinz are that they are realli ez to kill once u hit em but if u are melee its kinda hard to get to them

Yup, also if they have eth exile and such they have high def so you miss once or twice, the you usually die...
