I already admitted to cold immune. However, there was no mention that the crowds we were controlling were cold immune, therefore I assume they weren't, so my point stands. I'm glad you love both your characters, but never be an analyst.

1.) Hammers can pump nearly 3 times the damage a Bliz sorc can.
2.) Nothing is immune to a hammer.
3.) Hammers have a greater area of effect, hammerdins have higher resists, life, block percentage, and defense, and if something tries to melee you, it's dead before it gets there.
1, 2, 3 strikes, you're out. Why do you think you see so many more Hammerdins rushing Hell than Bliz sorcs? Chill out, this isn't flame wars. Read some rules.
so hammerdins can do almost 3x the dmg a blizz sorc can.... last time i checked a blizz sorc can do a max of 17k.... now a hammer goes up to around 15k, 16k if u got a shrine on......... blizz also has mastery and usually people can get it to 200%(3x) the dmg, making a blizz sorc do 51k.... now if 51,000 dmg hits you 3x vs 15k hitting you 3x.... which one will kill you faster?

i gotta agree with u and the Silverxp but.. still.. i think hammerdins are the best rushers easily.. and when it comes to pvm. what else do u really do??? i guess there is mf.. but everyone knows sorcs own mf..

I think I'd go along with that. I wouldn't have either. Hammerdins and blizzard sorceresses share the same flaw with dueling...and that flaw is that we both blow at it, lol.
best in my opinion is probably hammerdin, zealer, hurricane druid, and finally a javazon. these are the best classes in my opinion. javazon is the best 4 takin care of cows i mean doin a cow run in 5 mins killin every cow on hell woth 7 other players is sweet.
hm, you have an interesting point. First off I have every class you mentioned, and I can see where people think hammerdin is real good, but for the record, it's not a zealer or hurricane druid.
Though I do not have a javazon and if they are anything like they use to be, they're really good. They may very well be the best...

Rushing is not crowd control. Rushing is a great way to determine how good of a "all around" character you are. Yes, hammers fire off 3x as fast...welll, oops, since a blizzard usually hits 3x before the hammer gets to it's target (assuming you're not standing on top of your enemy) and my hammer does 14k, my blizzard does 4k...if you include cold mastery every monsters resistance is down to -100 which means that the blizzard will actually hit them for somewhere in the area of 8-9k. and unless you're RIGHT on top of them, it will take your hammer 2-3 seconds to reach your target, by which my blizzard has hit them 1-2 times. So on average it's hit them 1.5 (I just know I'm going to get somebody saying WTF?! HOW CAN A BLIZZARD HIT 1.5X?!). Therefore I do more damage AND am more relaible.
Yes, I have a hammerdin, level 80, 12k hammer damage. I have all the "1337" equipment and all and I can use him effectively as anyone. The problem is that the technique itself isn't very reliable. The reason you see hammerdins rushing them is because it is easier to max a paladins resists than it is a sorceress and because of the immunities.

melee attempts....wrong, it COULD be dead, but it's doubtful..so you're saying if diablo tries to melee you he'll be dead before he gets there? No, he won't, all be it hammerdins rape the shit out of bosses, he would get a hit off, so your statement is not absolute and as such is an untrue generalization to make.

I just realized something everything you listed besides the melee attempt(which we already proved to be untrue)....in a DEFENSIVE property, since DEFENSE has so much to do with crowd control. Therefore all 3 of your pitches were nowhere in the ball park and since you threw 4 counting that last statement, I guess I get to take my base. I love baseball anologies! You too?

So like I said, hammerdins are by far the best rushers. Only bad thing about it? This topic wasn't about WHO IS THE BEST RUSHER. This top was about crowd control, in which the blizzard has no equal at this point in time.

Chill I just wanted to spark an argument with someone. We didn't define what "better" meant. I was interpreting better to be kill-rate, which I'm right, no hammerdin equals a blizzard sorceress assuming equal levels of skills and stats. However, hammerdins don't have an equal when it comes to an all around character, they have tons of offense, tons of defense, tons of resists and are hard as hell to kill. So depending on your interpretation of "better"...you could have been right. No worries =].

Hammerdin hands down. There are many more cold immunes than there are non-undead magic immunes. If you face a cold immune, let alone a pack of them like the Enslaveds around Shenk (the Overseer), you lose your power and destruction. So you have a ***ly merc. You lose your area of effect. Not destructive.

Everyone keeps bringing in resists, etc in this...the hell? DESTRUCTIVE not well-rounded. Yes hammerdins are all around a better class due to their ability to cope with anything due to the magic immunity glitch...however in terms of pure destruction it's a sorc. Resists...called chains of honor bro easily maxes them. I could make a sorc easily with max resists and lose no skills. Yes, well rounded hammerdins are better, however in terms of pure death, still can't contend with the sorc.
