ok i have usd both i have a lvl 90 hammerdin and a lvl 88 bliz sorc and i have to say the hammerdin kill more monsters faster hands down in a baal run the 1 hammerdin will kill like 50% of the monsters and the other 7 players r left wif 50% thats tons more xp 4 the hammerdin... bliz sorc is ok but is usles when it comes 2 cold imune also she dosnt stand up well wen fighting bosses wif the exeption of meph (bam bam and hes history)
btw like 95% of stats r made up on the spot but i have beed lvlin ma sorc 4 like twice as long as ma hammerdin and still she isnt lvl 90 yet (if ur gonna make a hammerdin b mindfull that they r real cap wifout enigma and if u can get enig and stuff hammerdins require som skill 2 play wif well)

if u wanna make a good pvm char that is cheap i would go wif a fire / cold sorc. my lvl 85 one can solo hell baal and thats an achivement 4 a tal sorc lol... i maxd metior, fire ball, fire mastery, frozen orb and the rest into cold mastery i point into all other skills that r required 4 orb..ect... dont 4get mana orb 2 and frozen armor just 1 point though. she uses full tal (1.10) hel'd ss ne boots, magefists, +3 cold skill ammy, and 2 sojs

Untrue, only if your hammer is just incredibly more powerful than your bliz/cold mastery. Either that or you can't build a blizz sorc worth shit my friend, lol.

i say zealots are the most fun and destructive pvm if u get a good weapon and massive damage with a might merc that carries decrip... bottom line... my zealot kills hell baal in less then 10 seconds... faster then my 14k hammerdin.

Hammerdins aren't the best, these people saying they are obviously can't build a sorc to save their lives, or don't have the skills to effectively PvM one. I'm wondering how long after this post until I get an eloquent "**** YOU WANNA DUEL FAGGOT?!"...yes because PvM skills and PvP have so much in common.

No, hammerdins aren't the best, they are too unreliable, unfortunately anyone who disagrees with me is wrong. Too bad so sad =].

I like Hammerdins with Good Gear but he said he's not rich but neways My equip is Enigma 39 Hoto p seraphs 2x sojs Hoz CTA arach and some more but i dont remember it all.... But yea Zealots are way more fun to make :) Just started one...

and wot do u do against cold imune?
what dose ur bliz sorc use? mine uses a coh nightwing 31hoto snowclash 2sojs ss and 24 maras... she can duel and meph run but thats bout it... however ma hammerdin can duel and mf and rush... i just dont understand y u like a cold only build over a hammerdin::
hammerdins take good ping and some skill 2 use but when u got that down ur godly
my hammerdin has 3k life and i love him lol

Hmm... Ok. Let's see here.

1.) Hammers can pump nearly 3 times the damage a Bliz sorc can.
2.) Nothing is immune to a hammer.
3.) Hammers have a greater area of effect, hammerdins have higher resists, life, block percentage, and defense, and if something tries to melee you, it's dead before it gets there.

1, 2, 3 strikes, you're out. Why do you think you see so many more Hammerdins rushing Hell than Bliz sorcs? Chill out, this isn't flame wars. Read some rules.

actualy there r yeti things in a3 ruined temple that r like the only things imune 2 hammers. i think its coz they r not undead while all other magic imunes r undead, and hammers do 150% xtra dmg 2 undead.

HA! Finally!

Been tryin to get one of you pussies to stand up and argue with me.

Rushing is not crowd control. Rushing is a great way to determine how good of a "all around" character you are. Yes, hammers fire off 3x as fast...welll, oops, since a blizzard usually hits 3x before the hammer gets to it's target (assuming you're not standing on top of your enemy) and my hammer does 14k, my blizzard does 4k...if you include cold mastery every monsters resistance is down to -100 which means that the blizzard will actually hit them for somewhere in the area of 8-9k. and unless you're RIGHT on top of them, it will take your hammer 2-3 seconds to reach your target, by which my blizzard has hit them 1-2 times. So on average it's hit them 1.5 (I just know I'm going to get somebody saying WTF?! HOW CAN A BLIZZARD HIT 1.5X?!). Therefore I do more damage AND am more relaible.

Yes, I have a hammerdin, level 80, 12k hammer damage. I have all the "1337" equipment and all and I can use him effectively as anyone. The problem is that the technique itself isn't very reliable. The reason you see hammerdins rushing them is because it is easier to max a paladins resists than it is a sorceress and because of the immunities.

hmmm, higher resists, no contest there, absolutely right.
Life, yup, they do.
Block percentange, again no contest.
defense...yup
melee attempts....wrong, it COULD be dead, but it's doubtful..so you're saying if diablo tries to melee you he'll be dead before he gets there? No, he won't, all be it hammerdins rape the shit out of bosses, he would get a hit off, so your statement is not absolute and as such is an untrue generalization to make.

oh wait! I just realized something everything you listed besides the melee attempt(which we already proved to be untrue)....in a DEFENSIVE property, since DEFENSE has so much to do with crowd control. Therefore all 3 of your pitches were nowhere in the ball park and since you threw 4 counting that last statement, I guess I get to take my base. I love baseball anologies! You too?

Flame wars? I wasn't flaming anyone, simply stating an observation proven factual.

So like I said, hammerdins are by far the best rushers. Only bad thing about it? This topic wasn't about WHO IS THE BEST RUSHER. This top was about crowd control, in which the blizzard has no equal at this point in time.

What's this mean? Pitcher got line drived in the throat?

Chill I just wanted to spark an argument with someone. We didn't define what "better" meant. I was interpreting better to be kill-rate, which I'm right, no hammerdin equals a blizzard sorceress assuming equal levels of skills and stats. However, hammerdins don't have an equal when it comes to an all around character, they have tons of offense, tons of defense, tons of resists and are hard as hell to kill. So depending on your interpretation of "better"...you could have been right. No worries =].

For the record, I hate that wink face that the forum uses, lol. It's more like an eyebrow raising face...like you're flirting.

ooo, that was a hardcore post. i disagree and agree on many facets of that argument, so hear me out. you're saying that on the crowd control front, blizz=pwnz, but i disagree because hammers do a lot more damage, and you can repeatedly cast with almost no delay, unlike orb. so 1) it does more damage (and is nigh immune) and 2) it has no casting delay, which rocks. just my 2 cents
