That is what u must do to fix an error , but i have no msvcr71.dll file! how to get it????

you can find that file under Diablo II > Hacks > in the downloads section.

Cool thx! Now he loads all he need but i cant connect in a game

i get error message:connceting failed..now i must wait one day for test the bot. grrrr i hate this bug! :

I think the latest D2JSP release fixes that issue

omg now i have a new bug. (not with ne new version cause the crack dont work with her). I start all and click install update but then my diablo crashes but not with an error. i click install update switch to diablo and then i cant move my mouse. whats wrong?

i did all of snargz's steps, but it still says unknown game version.

I also get an "Unknown Game Version" error. I extracted the files, then extracted the crack. I put the crack files into the folder with d2jsp. I then loaded up D2, and ran the crack, which appears to have loaded properly. I then tried to load the bot, and it gave the error. I then tried loading the bot when I was at the select character screen, same error, then when in the lobby, same error, while in channel, and while in game. I also tried loading the patch at each of these steps, and restartind D2 and reloading the patch at each step. I do not have D2loader installed so that's not causing problems, and I tried reinstalling Diablo II twice, and that didn't solve the problem.

OK my bot is being gay it goes all good then when t enters a game it says scirpt does not exist like 7 time then says Error:line:1215 Error (1) Refenceserror:townmove not defind??? what the hell is that can some PLEASE help i really want to get this up

I got D2jsp to create a game, find the right script and run it, but then the real shit starts ... when he's going to the merchant (note : in any script), I get an error : c000005 unhandled exception. If anyone can help me fix this error, I'll upload all my D2JSP files for everyone to use.

I got "Unknown game version" then i fixed that, then i got "error 998" then i fixed that too, now its back to "Unknown game version"... I'm lost with the damn thing

Unknown game version means you've used the crack-file wrong. you're supposed to run the crack when diablo is running, when you're logging in. When you do that, it will recognise the game (I hope)

It Does nothing. I replaced the dll file, now i dont got 'unknown game version' error. I dont need to run the crack actually. If i run the crack or not it just does nothing (i got diablo running in windowed mode). I did configure my scripts correctly. What could be the problem? Does the crack work by some1 else?

Look guys. I know I'm new to the forum, but I was experimenting earlier and I had some success. Make sure you have all the right DLLs. Look throughout this thread to find them (I think). Also, I found that the crack ONLY works with release....37.09 or something like that? It gives a computer beep when you hit install/update instead of any errors. Also, hit "install/update" AFTER logging into a channel, and then start a game and it should load your selected module. For some reason, the newest release isn't compatible with this crack. The reason why is likely a change in code. Also, make sure (as somebody previously said), that each forward slash (/) is changed to a backslash (\) in default.d2j. Do NOT rename starter_.d2j to starter.d2j. It causes errors and fixes nothing. Hope this helps!

EDIT: Confirmed working release (I encountered errors with every other version) is v0.37.09.

EDIT2: Also, check out blizzhackers.com for an in-depth look at more information regarding this topic. They offer the correct version (D2JSP.org seems to force you to download .38 even though you ask to dl a different version...Why, I do not know).
