i know how to make but...need some advice...i socket the items with 7 then i take jewels with alot of attributes and its holy chock an freeze..is that good???
i got the same problem as Pro wit HE only i create a character in 1.10 save/exit , edit it, and attempt to start game but GENERIC BAD FILE also i cant edit characters ive already created and i edited them before this and worked just fine
also i cant seem to be able to create items i use item create tab to make, say, a small charm i then try to edit magical properties but i get error runtime error 380' invalid property vaule can some1 plz help me:
mine cant even load it when it doe all the items r gone and if i save my character disappears its so gay... it cant even load files and item files and i cant do shit with it
ive got a pickling question?....is there away to hex or hack closed(i cant find anytin wit my lvl 71 assassin) like i go on open and i mf some stuff and then save the items in my SPECIAL file in the diablo folder.......so back to my question i was wonderin if anyone know how to hack on closed battle.net or hex editing....i was gona make a new account and use a pindle bot but so many people told me that u cant get a cd ban so i have decided not to do that

ZonFire, I just created an item and total, it has 107 magical stats. (this is regular magic, and the set1 magic, set 2 magic, etc.). However, when I mouse over the item, I get a pop-up.

And if I attempt to join a game, I get bad inventory. I was just wondering, whats the cut-of limit before I get this error, and could this be causing my bad inventory?
Basically yes, too many attributes usually result in a bad inventory error message from D2. I don't know the actual limit for mouse over display in D2, but it is approximately 44 lines of visible text -- including the blank lines between different type of attributes.
For Hero Editor V0.80, the maximum mouse over limit is 100 magic attributes.
For Hero Editor V0.82, the maximum mouse over limit is 200 magic attributes.
So, I guess you must be using Hero Editor V0.80, lol.
107 magical attributes O_o.... maybe try some charms aye' :P
N e who, I believe the maximum allowed amount of magical attributes on 1 item is 33 magical attributes... I think it will still let you in the game but when u scroll ur mouse over it, the game will freeze and you will get an error... (Information of 1.09... think it should still be accurate with 1.10)
There is a bug in Hero Editor if you ONLY make a brand new V1.10 character. This is because that when Hero Editor first starts up, it initializes for a V1.09D character.
So, if you want to create a new V1.10 character, you have 3 options:
1) First open up any other V1.10 character, then create the new V1.10 character.
2) Create the new V1.10 character, save it, and immediately reload it and then save it again.
3) Make the character in a V1.10 game, save/exit, and then open it in Hero Editor.
not for me, i got the same chars. i ONLY get the error when i create a new item an put jewels an shit in it. i try single player it tells me UNABLE TO ENTER GAME: GENERIC BAD FILE
i try open bnet, at end of load it freezes then crashes after a min and an error msg comes up sayin somethin about save size. so i guess it means i got too much shit? i fix it after i remove all sockets an socketed items an make the attributes less..
Alright. I downloaded the file and started the HE program up but when i open a character file its says all this stuff about bad values and bad inventory. After that i loose everything that was in my inventory. After i tweak my character and all the good stuff i save it and start the game. Guess what the character that i made is gone!!! nothing. When i make a new character with the same name i cant do it saying that its in use. can anyone hlep me out!! thanks you
If you get errors about bad Stats when you try to load a character, this is usually caused by one of two things:
1) You have got your computer set to use multiple byte Unicode for letters/chars.
=> You need to Start > Settings > Control Panel, and run Regional Settings. Look for something about Unicode, and make sure your computer uses only single bytes for all Unicode. You may also need to set your computer for English language.
2) You are trying to load a character from a patch earlier than V1.09D.
=> Make sure your D2 is updated to the V1.10 patch, by starting D2 and logging in to B.Net. Then start D2 and open and save/exit each of your character files to upgrade them to the V1.10 patch. Then you should be able to edit the character files using Hero Editor V0.80 or V0.82.

Hello i have just d/l'ed the Hero Editor that zonefire99 made and i have a fairly serious problem with a couple questions....bacicly i need a little help. I installed the hero editor and got it up and running but i dont know exactly where to put the Hero Editor.. and what to do with all the .dll files that come with it. Also i have no problem creating my char and saving it with no popups or errors i would just like to know when i save my char and then go into the game shuld my player show up on my account (the 1 that i created) ??? Zonefire99 culd u help me out thx!
Srry but incase u were wondering i did read the faq/tutorial that came with it and it was very helpful except in the 2 facts that i dont know where to put the hero editor and the .dll filez and i dont know how to get my char in the actual game of diablo 2. help would be MUCH appreciated.
