I'm making a new concentrate baba, know the build and sh*t... All I need to know, is info on the charms and if this i dea would be good.

Baba T (always has to be there, rite?), 6 Warcry Sk's, PSN Sc's (100+ w/ cold/life).

That a good idea or something? Cause I have ubered before w/ Smite in the summer and w/ Zeal (Clearing) this fall, so I still have the touch for Ubers...

I think that Conc barb is slightly worse than Frenzy barb, but both of them can do it. Since this is for PvM, WC skillers are your choice. I trust that you already have the gear figured out?

Poison damage scs wouldn't really add anything to your build (unless you have them en masse, i.e. 37x451 dam ones). Try to get an anni in there and instead of poison damage, use +20 lifers

Conc barb is a bad idea imo, go for frenzy, that barb owns in pvm.

So I'll go with anni then..
Got the gear figured out, hopefully the setup will get a higher ammount of dmg...

I have a conc barb, my probablem was while I was building I didn't think to use the proper synergies except for Battle Orders, since I started out thinking I would make a BO barb. Though, at the same time it isn't very viable to use all the synergies, because you need 20 in Bash, 20 in Berzerk and 20 in Battle Orders, (and Concentrate, but that goes without saying), thats 80 points, that means one of the main purposes of concentrate; higher def and being harder to hit, can't be augmented with 20 in Iron Skin.

A good mix for a conc barb might be;
20 in Concentrate
20 in Battle Orders
20 in Iron Skin
20 in the mastery of your choice
10 in Berzerk
5 in Bash

I'm using a Metalgrid amulet too, and lifetap dracul's gloves, and two life leech rings. Basically not even Hell Baal can hit me, or damage me. However, I can't really dish out any viable damage unless I switch to my Berzerk with right click, but switching from Berzerk and Concentrate is, letting your life recharge from leeching and lifetap while you're using concentrate and not being hit back, and quickly hiting with Berzerk to wear the enemy down, and switching back. As long as you're swinging your weapons with concentrate, and you have good enough gear, you can't be hit at all.

EDIT: And if by BvU you mean Barbarian versus Ubers, well, the lesser Clone ubers yes, but I tried Uber Tristram with my Conc Barb, and wasn't able to survive to get close enough to start swinging, I lost my body, left game to re-enter, and game was full until ubers were dead and I couldn't get a second chance to try.

...but the moral is; the weakness of conc is in needing to be close enough to attack, and switching from one enemy to another makes you briefly vulnerable when you stop to aim at a new enemy.

Well.. I was gonna uber with my mates smite.. He has a decent build and owns Tristy... He'll live longer with me and ill live longer with him... Fana increases the damage and speed, that's gonna pwn Ubers ^^

I'd like to hear from others who have concentrate barbarians and what gear, skill-allocations, they use. Is having a phoenix monarch and fortitude runewords worth it for the % to damage given with concentrate? Is it worth it at all? I use a stormshield, was thinking about switching to a phoenix & a fort.

Yes I'm using Verdungo's Hearty Cord and Arreat's Face also, two carrion wind rings for the life steal, and an ebotdcb

Change to ravens and highlord and use goreriders and 20 ias gloves, that way you'll hit a lot faster and the life steal loss won't make a difference. Good choices for gloves are lava gount for enchant or Laying of hands set gloves for the +350% damage to deamons.

I'll try it out in sp soon.. Try out all the ideas posted here.. Then I'll let you know, what to use...


I would've went for 40/15 dungo and SS, for the 50%DR, eForti Sacred (Loits said 4k+ def achievable), eBotd BA / Storm, Arreat (perf LL, 40/15 ( never gonna get one like that ), Highlord, 2x Ravens..

Yes, Loits is right, I have a 4065 def ethereal Sacred fortitude on my merc, but I've never seen one with the zod rune bug & they don't have repair durability, so they're pretty much only good for mercs as far as I know.

For pvp aswell, when dura runs out just unsox, zod, unsox and make forti again.

I have been experimenting with Barb for almost a year reading all the builds, on my fourth build and have discovered nothing compares to a frenzy Barb even without many synergies, maxing shout, 15 on iron skin and enough on battle orders to reach the lowest dimished return in unity ( 1 to 1), I use battlecry to reduce monster defence and damage, wear fort, arreats, two btds , two famines , thunder***s and rends (60% enhanced damage) , two 13 to min. damage rings occasionally interchanged with a ravenfrost and have own all of hell level with no problem.
My experince with any other pvm builds have been dismal failures by comparison.

Frenzy and Conc barbs are both good for PvM, you just have to know how to make them. Just because a character can solo hell does not mean it's good. In fact, any char that cannot solo hell, should be deleted.

As for your Frenzy build, instead of 2 Famines, I'd recommend Grief and Death, or Last Wish and Death.

More than 1 point in Iron Skin really doesn't add much (unless you are BvB). For PvM, it's unnecessary.

Instead of those rings, use Angelic's and go for base DEX. If you find 2 Angelics excessive, switch one for Raven/Dwarf/Wisp.

for scs, try 20life 5res charms. extra res will help a lot and res is always good. psn dmg won't get you far in ubers because the minions are mostly immune and the ubers won't be affected that much.

I just recently created another concentrate barb, and maxed the synergies to conc (Bash, BO, Berserk). Put ten to Iron Skin, and the rest to my weapon mastery (at 99 it would only be 17 points to base, I'm thinking now to forget Iron Skin. My friend keeps telling me how vastly superior Shout is and I know statistically it's so, but I'm just lazy and always die from forgetting to renew BO and don't want the same problem with Shout ;-) ).

Without a fortitude, like I have on my other conc barb, I do a thousand more max damage than him. I am also using a two handed weapon (an ever so slightly better attack rating from the masteries of two handed specialized weapons) for the extra damage, an ebotd great poleaxe, best range which is nice when you're surrounded you can hit the enemies in the second row around you; this helps when a lot of normal enemies are near you but unique or champion enemies are in the second row giving you all the trouble, its speed is fair and the minimum to maximum damage ratio is the most pragmatic. Though on my former barb I used my ebotdcb two handed so that isn't where the extra damage comes from.

As long as I remember Battle Orders I can be swarmed on all sides by hell difficulty Hell Bovine for and survive, picking them off one by one with no skill switching or relying on berzerk anymore.
