I'm not so sure about barbarian skill points, but I can think of some items that would help.

(I list these items because they are remotely cheap and easy to come by.)

Helm : Arreats
Armor : Valor
Arm(1) : Grandfather Collossus Blade
Arm(2) : Stormshield (Monarch [Although Aegis is cheaper])
Belt : Verdungo's Cord
Ring(1) : Bul-Katho's Wedding Band.
Ring(2) : Ravenfrost.
Amulet : Imp Brow or Highlord's.
Gloves : Dracul's.
Boots : Gore Riders.

If you're not feeling stingy, or you buy your items from websites, you should probably substitute Helm/Armor/Arm(1)/Arm(2) with better runeword items.
