AssassinWhen good mages go bad, that's when they call in the Assassins. Human weapons against corrupt mages such as the infamous Horazon, Assassins perfect the powers of the mind, channelling their magic inwards.
also if your char only gets to lvl 85, thats seriously sad.
Most people just stop characters at level 85 and make newer characters. Level 85 is fast to get to, and effective as well. And people don't really like to duel level 90's :)
And thegrave, why did you make this thread in the first place if you don't care what other people say anyways? :) Just a thought.
As far as gear goes, i use a slightly different setup. I have 8 shadow gcs in my inventory, a 12fhr gc, and both tomes taking up the last column. I use a 2 open-socket gskull (Hopefully put some facets in later), a 45% bramble, 1.10 trang gloves, +2 19 dex shadowdancers, 235 max dmg chaos suwayah, a perfect shadowkiller eth(for -50% target def, plus cheaper not getting fury.) 1 sojs, and angelic ring and ammy. I use a verdungos belt. I use gskull, because knockback gets me more hits, has better defense than a psn faceted shako, plus it adds the strength i need to wear shadowdancers. So its actually better to use than with Psn Faceted Shako and goreriders because you get more defense, and an extra socket to put another psn facet. I do up to 4.4k on my chaos hand, and maybe 4k with my shadowkiller hand. I would upload a screenshot, but i couldn't find a good program that wasn't shareware. :)
Base it on venom, and ALL characters should be using a CtA on switch, no exception for assassins.
That's absolutely not true, I've seen the duel bartucs on switch, needless to say this sin was owning all the ***ly sorcs. Even received comments as to "wow, i didnt know sins could pwn".
As to your comment, it makes absolutely no sense. Basing it around venom you'd want duel-bartucs equipped when you cast it, CTA would be basing on more life and +skills level. The duel bartucs really strengthens venom, that's the whole point of it. You switch to secondary and cast venom on it, then switch back.
I really hope you have a venom sin and aren't just speculating. In fact, I hope you have a ***ly venom-sin.
and you should know that there's no stone-cold hard rule for every class. Don't use broad generalizations like that, it's like saying a hybrid zon needs CTA on secondary? Gimme a break. CTA doesnt have to be equipped for BO and BC to work, you know that right? you can cast BO then take your CTA off and it still stays.
Yes, I currently have a venom-ww assassin. Massive +skills is not needed to increase venom damage. The items which increase venom damage the MOST would be +% to poison skill damage. And yes, CtA is heavily recommended for characters in duelling situation. It does not necessarily have to be on the switch, can just be on switch for when you BO with it, then cast venom.
And duel bartucs are useless. +3 shadow disciplines are much better, and give much more + to skill. Bartucs don't specialize in much and are way to general, which makes them useless.
When the hell did I say that there is a "Stone-cold" rule for every class, quote the usage of the word "should" in my sentence.
And yes, thegrave, you are absolutely right. But remember that having good +skills is not too useful other than when you're casting venom. Otherwise, you should use CtA. But if you REALLY want to use +skills weapons on your switch, remember to use the Battle command on the CtA FIRST, to get that 1 point difference with your venom, which can be around 500+ poison damage.
yeah exactly, using cta/lidless gives xtra +3skills, using2 +3 shadow is +6, so that is like +1500 pd than using cta/lidless... but having a base life of 1.5k+ with an average cta gives u 500-600 more life...
how about, put 2x bartucs or +3 shadow claws in inventory, have cta on switch, activate bc then bc, then put on ur 2 claws then place the claws back in ur inventory and put cta back on switch

Bingo. Milk it for as much as it's worth. For example, with a sorc im making i have an item that give +1 to E/S, another one that's +1 to Shiver armor and one that +1 to Thunderstorm, all i have to do is equip these items and cast it, then remove the items... Those save me soooooo many wasted points from pre-reqs alone because i dont have to invest skill points on the tree.
I'm guessing he means 70 life / 15 mana GCs? Not too sure. I wanted to make a venom sin, even did the first 25 lvls already but i might scrap it. I have a 3soc Claw with +2 Dragon flight, so i wouldnt even have to put anything into martial arts.
I was thinking
Fury / Chaos / Bramble / Angelics (ammy and ring, maybe 2 rings, will test it out) / Ver dungos, and 2x Bartucs on weapon switch
Uh uh...I meant 15 life/70 mana bugged small charms on useast.
