I have not played Diablo 2 LOD since the beginning end of Ladder Season 1, but I recently got back in it for about 3 minutes, which I quit once I realized East Ladder was going to reset in July. However through my dueling experience, one of my favorite(not the best) would be the WW assassin. Quick, toxic, and really cool she rocks weak people. Although i have never made one to be honest, I have compiled information from various people who do have them.
It probably is outdated : but it still a fun character to play with.

Items:
Chaos Suwaya... Claw
Fury Claw
Mara's Kalaide...
Shadow Dancer Boots

Trang Gloves (used to enhance poisen skill damage)
And Bramble(increases poisen damage and thorns aura)
Crown Of Ages (Has good defense and +1 to skills and 2 sockets,which you can replace with +5 -5 poisen jewel
arach belt


Skills:
Mandatory
Venom= 20
Claw Mastery= 20
Dragon Flight (Used to tele right next to enemy a shred them to bits :)= at least 1
Weapon Block (I think it works with all types of claws.)=20

Optional
Fade (Recomended up to 20 for resis against spell casters)
Burst Of speed (As much as you want,but your not going to be chasing any1 becaue of tele, but if there arn't any casters just use it for faster speed)
Mind Blast (1 but anything more would not be recomended)
Shadow Master (put at least one so when you tele to enemy it do some good damage also)

i typed this really quick so if i missed anything sry.

All of the items are really hard to get if you spend alot of time playing u can get it and the total damage won't be more than 10k , but it'll do plenty of damage in hell dueling because no one is resis to poisen. also u can just keep on teleing next to them and wwing them over and over

Advised to get a act 2 merc and equip with a botd or something. if your ww won't get them, then your merc will. so you'll have 3 total people: you, shadow, and merc= loads of damage.

As for stats just get enough for items and rest into vita, might wanna get a Cta too as secondary weapon.

Try to get as many GSC for assassin and small poisen charms. 2 small poisen charms (100 poisen damage over 5 seconsds) can make a huge difference.

Also a funny thing is to get pincer gloves to slow them down and watch them move really slow lol (so you they can't run away...)

not the best char but suppppppeeeeerrr fun to play with.


I made this guide because the other guides want you to use nigma which decreases poisen damage and some mistakes (or so i think...), plus if your a duel addict, dragon flight will tele right next to the enemy, rather than nigma where you have to aim, while dragon teles and damages the enemy

and for switch you can use 2 +3 to shadow disp +3 to venom claws.

Just curious. Does anybody know how much claws with 3 sockets with magical properties (eg. +1 to venom etc.) Are worth?

Not much if you're thinking of using those for fury, rw's don't work in magic items.

blackmage has this one. the best venom pre-buff claws are +3 to shadow disp +3 to venom magical ones, these give +6 to venom in total from each claw, making your venom extremely high (+12). even higher if you have a cta+spirit or cta+lidless handy in inventory, as well as 12% fhr shadow disp charms.

Claw Mastery
Venom
Claw Block, A MUST vs. everything
1 Into Dragon Flight and it's presquites
1 Into WOF and it's presquites*
1 into MB " " " **
1 into Burst of Speed
Rest into Fade ***

* The reason for This is because of the Stun lock it causes when paired with MB against Characters with low FHR; like casters and some crap pallys. You cast the WOF and when the Target enters and the WOF starts to attack, MB them once, and they will be stunlocked until the WOF wears off. When I say Stunlocked, they cannot do ANYTHING.

**When you WW, Sometimes you leave the Target with very little life since psn doesnt kill at 1 hp unless it is inflicted at 1 hp, A quick MB will kill them. It is also necessary for the little Stunlock trick I stated above.

***Fade, It only resists Elements right? Wrong. Every point you put into this gives a hidden 1% Damage Reduce. Lvl 20 fade = 20% Damage Reduce. This is very handy since WWsins don't meet the DR cap of 50% with equipment alone.

BOS against Casters, Fade Against Melee.

k ive been tinkering around with this assy and i found the highest dmg will not reach 10. its 17 dmg off

my bad. found an even better amount to add, i added 6 5-5 psn facets to my 2 pre buff claws, and a 5/5 shako and filled my inventory with shadow gcs+anni, its hella higher now. also added 65 vit pts so life=3k after cta now.

this is with full angelics on too.

What's WOF? Wake of Fire? Why that?
Also did you use poisen small charms?

claws with +3 to shadow and +3 to venom can have 3 socs???

venom
fade
claw mastery
weapon block

You should max dragon flight right?
Also wouldn't a shadow ma$ter might help?

wof is a fire trap. after you mindblast people you cast wake of fire to incinerate people.

i maxed venom,fade,claw mastery, and weapon block.

dragon flight is only used for teleing in my opinion. ww does the dmg. amazons cant dodge ww either.

a shadow master would help, but not in duels.

and no i didnt use psn scs, they interfere with venom's dmg for some reason. also, yes i do believe magical claws can have 3 sockets, but its a low chance. around the best you can hope for is 2-3 sockets per claw. and make sure u get perf 5-5 psn facets, die or lvl doesnt matter though, if the link works i just added die for fun.

One my previous assassin, i maxed shadow master, and used a bounch of skill+ items. i did not have skillers then, but the shadow did amazingly well. It could own in duel alone, exept when it meet though barbars and paladins. I cant imagine how it will be at level 48
