Some of you have already read my guide which is in the Assassin Guides section of the Character Development/Guides forum. I've made some changes.

The new build is aimed at more extreme domination vs. Casters and a little more of a chance vs. melee opponents.

This build is Weapon/Shield, not like the previous build using C/C.

So, let's get started on one of the largest differences - gear.

Gear:
Helm - Andariel's Visage *socket with 'Um'
Armor - Guardian Angel *socket with 'Um'
Weapon - 'Beast' runeword *use Twin Axe, Ettin Axe, Berserker Axe, Caddy... Most anything works that's fast enough.
Shield - Sanctuary and Stormshild *use SS for melee, Sanctuary for Casters.
Belt - Arachnid's Mesh/Trang-Oul's *a personal opinion required here. Trang's is a good idea since it gives 'Cannot be Frozen.'
Gloves - Trang-Oul's *poison damage increase.
Boots - Shadow Dancers/Upped Gores *you MUST obtain Shadow Dancers if you are NL
Rings - 2x BK/Absorb rings/Angelics *depends on your opponent.
Amulet - Mara's/Angelic/Rare *depends on your opponent.

Skills:
You're gonna need these! (joke, but not really)

Venom - 20 *venom is a must for any melee Assassin.
Dragon Talon - 20 *your main attack... duh.
Fade - 20 *PDR and resistances. this prevents you from having to use Dungo's and gives you 90-95 all resistances.
Shadow Master - 1-20 *i like maxing it. shadows rock. personal preference here.
BoS - 1+ *i personally wouldn't touch this skill, but whatever floats your boat.
Dragon Flight - Rest into this.

Improvements include the following...

- Much higher resistance potential
- Greater damage
- Possibly more life, depends on gear choices

Disadvantages (compared to the C/C build) follow...

- No claw block *i personally don't find this necessary with 90-95 all resists and potential absorb
- Not as much Crushing Blow/Open Wounds

Use wiz spike lol...I heard wizspike is teh coolest...Not to mentio the res too...

Why not dual perf jade talon for casters...? thats imo...

Beast is the best weapon.

Res? You get 90-95 all resistances with the setup above.

Guardian Angel is better for what I'm trying to achieve.

What is shadow dancers worth in non-ladder? I think am gonna try out this build.


Why do you use andariels visage instead of Kiras Guardian?

With maxed fade and Um'd andy's and GA he has plenty of resists so doesnt need to use kiras.

Also grief would add to you kick damage, but he is using beast for the attack rating boost. Damage doesn't help if you can hit your opponent. =/

Right you are Brew.

Sorry for my absense guys.

Kick damage comes up to around 1.6k (not including Venom) per kick with 5-6 kicks.

EDIT: So vs. a caster, you will hit every time if you catch them because those kicks are fast. Quite like the speed of a Zeal if not faster.

Hey Medicine how does this build fair vs. melee chars like WW barbs and smiter? also how does it do against CS zons?

CS Zons die fairly easily, but melee chars are a lot tougher.

VS. Melee chars, the best thing to do is wait for them with Wake of Fire traps planted. MB them when they run into your traps then DFlight in. Also, always use Cloak of Shadows when dueling melee.

hmm i heard somewhere that it is better to use pdscs and not venom cuz when adding the pdscs and venom soemthign gets ****ed up and u actually do less, but even though it wont show dmg going up with the pdscs it is cuz when u kik them u see they get poisoned, dunno but a suggestion, adn if beast doesnt work doom will, the freeze will help alot

Its is much better to use venom since venom does poison damage over 0.4 seconds. This makes you avible to deliver the poison damage several times when you use rapid attacks sutch as dragon talon. If you used a 290, it would work over 10/11 seconds, wich would be bad for you.
If a 290 is for 10 seconds, then you can find out how much venom dmg it would be the same as.
10/0.4=25
290/25=11,6
So, 1 skill into venom is the same as 1 290 in the inventory



What skillers do you use? MA or SD?

If you got poison charms of poison damage on your weapon, they are convirted down to how much they would do over 0.4 sec. If you got a 290 in inventory and use venom, the charm will only give you like 10 damage. I would not advice to use 290s when you use venom.

sounds like shadow discp charms would be more effective then. and i think its advise.
