Can't you dupe by copying your char files, just dropping the stuff you want to dupe in some private game, and then reloading the back-up char file and then go back to the private game and pick the items?

Some guy said that worked but I doubt it. I mean, wouldn't Blizzard be smarter than that? This is probably a stupid question to most of you all but does it work? I can't play right now so I dunno.

Yes that works for single player / open battle.net but for closed it's a whole different story since your character files are stored remotely and not on your computer.
