Sorry for asking this in a D2 forum, tho i needed an answer quick! Does Counter-Strike (original, for PC) havea any offline single player play? (like botmatches) and what other Half-Life games do and dont?

So without that little pod-bot theres no single play on Counter Strike? :S

lol, well unless you count the 'training' mode, theres no single play = ) theres diff bots also, jus letting u no.

half life has some of the best singleplayer in pc history

however, there is no single player "deathmatch"

single player is all story driven

then what halflife games have the story driven single player mode?

the origional game is story driven same withe blue shift and opposing force. the rest that i have seen are all multiplayer

i highly recomend getting the Opera mod for halflife. it is multiplayer only, but its my all time fave

no idea, dont play halflife, i play cs only. or u can get a mod for cs and that can possibly have a singleplayer mode on it.

counterstrike was origionaly a free mod for halflife, but then some company (valve i think) bought it and sold it seperatly

i play unreal tournament. the original. my **** *** computer cant handle the new versions

i like unreal tournament too. i like the lazy matrik, bullet time, and matrix moves mutators

Ok Half-life runs off of the Unreal engine cause let's face it, the Unreal engine may the best fps engine ever created. Half-life is much older than Unreal Tournament 2004 by about six years so it's hard to compare. As for the original Unreal Tournament I think Half-life is much better, better than UT 2003 to. 2004 on the other hand has the vehicles giving it kind of an unfair advantage but still I think Half-life holds on as one of the best fps games out there.

For single played you can buy Conterstrike: Condition Zero. They have bots made by Valve and it's pretty fun for a while but I prefer just regular Counterstrike online.

Counterstrike is still a mod you can download for free. The mod became so popular that Valve contacted the creators and signed an agreement to help improve the mod and sell it since the mod took so long to download for 56k users, they could buy it and save time. Same thing happened for Day of Defeat.

Blue Shift sucks.

Sven Co-op is a great mod, I've played it for over 2 years and couldn't get enough of it for a while. I especially like RPG maps. Valve actually got in touch with the creator of this mod, or atleast tried to, so they could make co-op multiplayer with a story line that relates to the main game's story.

If you want a free single player mod I believe there is one called Redemption. It has a story-line and all with it. Including a carnival level where you can ride a little roller coaster and shoot stuff, it's pretty fun.

i got hl generations v3 and that includes hl, op force, blue shift and cs. when i install cs i can get redemption as an install option
