i dont no if anyone all ready uses the save/sync method but here it is anyway
first go to your d2 save folder and select all the files copy and paste them into a new folder (i will be refering to this as the scyncrnise folder) outside of the d2 directory. then go on open or tcp/ip in a game with another player give him the item then save and exit. next copy the files in the syncrnise folder and paste them into your d2 save folder a box will come up saying are you sure you want to replace these files say yes to all and your char will be restored to were he or she was before. also make sure to update the sycn folder offen (this can also be used to revive dead haed core chars) and let me no if this method works for u too.

or you can just turn the character files with the items u want to dupe into read only files (u can change back afterwards). it's a lot faster.
