Right now I'm using a Chain Lightning sorc and I'll post the gear here incase anyone else would like to make one.

I found the resistances arent very important doing these runs unless countess is lightning enchanted, but I'm not sure if she can be. Dmg reduction from SS is vital bc the bot teles you right into the countess's minions and u are bound to get hit a few times.

Also I have 156 str, 25 dex, 300 vit, 110 nrg

Skills:

Charged Bolt - 20
Lightning - 20
Chain Lightning - 20
Lightning Mastery - 20
Nova - 20
Warmth - 1
Telekinesis - 1
Teleport - 1
Energy Shield - 1

I built up CB and Light till 18, then maxed CL, Mastery, Light, CB in that order. I'm working on maxing nova now.

Reaper's Toll (for decrep to keep you alive a little longer when in the pack of minions)

the only reason I put it here is because if I was looking for a countess build I wouldnt look in char development. It's strictly a bot build if u ask me, since a pvp light sorc has a shitload of energy instead of vit. And a pvm sorc doesn't use ss, but rather lidless for fcr.

what merc would be the best for a lightning sorc and doing countess runs?

dont really think a lit sorc needs a merc for that lol but maybe a barb? cuz the ice and fire ones are useless cuz countess immune to fire and ice

everyone kept gloating about they got their act3 merc to lvl 99 and crap and im like dud stfu when you can get yourself lvl 99 and your merc and every godly damn item you ever could want its time to get a life.

i can understand if you strive for like good items and stuff but those people that stay on for like 9 hours a day are really jerks.

ive done that a few times, and if your doing well it is fun, then again, if u try spending hours trying to a get something u need it sucks

I use a act 2 cold merc because when his aura activates its slows even cold immunes down.
