http://www.d2sector.net/forums/fusion/editor/separator.gifI am going to make my first Zealot. Iknow the stats and skills i need but had a couple of questions. Are +skill items important for a zealer? How important is dam reduce or is that mostly good for pvp. Mine is going to be pvm only.

Next I wanted to know some awesome item setups. please leave out BoTd,CoH,and Enigma. Anything else is fine. I needed to know maybe two different possible item setups. That way I can see what I have and what I need. Thanks.

Btw I know Schaefers rocks but what about a Crescent Moon runeword? Would that be good?

I have a zealot, but it is of odd nature... He is my freezealot. Holy freeze and zeal.

He has 5, 5/5 cold facets on him!

Damage reduce, I think, is a really cool thing to have, especially when you have near the amount it caps at... Not sure how much exactly, I think 60%?

Yeah thats the build i'm using right now too. I love it! I want to try a standard zealer now and compare the two. Btw that is insane cold facets! What is your equip and dam with holy freeze?

hmmmm, zealot without BotD+Coh(what my pally uses)

Weapon: Try for a Famine Legendary Mallet(Fal-Ohm-Ort-Jah) it does pretty good physical damage, along with something like 50-200 cold/lightning/fire, and +150-200 Magic damage(VERY awesome against them immune to phys), one of the best pvm melee weps.

Armor: Gaurdian Angel, take your resists to 90%, along with 20% better chance to block, and some additional bonuses

Boots: Gore Riders, for all the crushing blow/deadly strike

Gloves: Draculs Grasps, lifetap will heal you faster than you can get hurt(IM still kills ya though)

Rings: Raven Frost, nicee AR bonus/ Cannot be frozen, Bul-Kathos, 5% life leech, good life bonus

Belt: here's your options, Nosferatu's Coil, if you wanna get your attack speed up, life leech also. Verdungo's, life leech and a bit of DR

Shield: Of course, Herald of Zakarum

Helm: incase you cant get your resists up, go for tal's 10% dual leech, resists and some life bonus, other than that, try Vamp Gaze

socket your armor and shield with an Um rune and you should be able to have decent resists in hell

Ammy: Highlords Wrath, increased attack speed, deadly strike, +1 to skillzzery nice for reaching the breakpoint

Charms: if your resists arent maxed in hell, go for resist charms(takes a good bit to pump 190 resists, -100(hell mode), than an additional 90 because the GA

thanks to both. I was wondering what about Arachnids belt and Seraphs Hym? Also I am not rich enough for BoTd or Famine so whats a good midrange alternative? Schaefers,CrescentMoon?

i never really liked shaefers, i used a b-star before my botd, did like 1500-2500, hehe, now i do like 2300-6600

just, if you can, test them out, b-star is pretty awesome for the immune to phys

That is pretty sick dam with botd! Hmmm.. see I was going to make a zealot because I wasnt getting enough dam out of my pally now. But he does 2000-2200 right now at lvl 78! So he does more dam now than a zealot with Baraners. Maybe I should just look for more powerful stuff for my pally I have now......

Another alternitive might be Azual Wrath??? but then again that worth a crap load to hehe ;) everyone can dream right???

yeah, my pally is only lvl 83, ,but those 5 points more i got than u have been going into defiance(holy shield synergie) he has something like 11k def. and like 7.5k ar(15k with angelic ring/ammy, i'm afraid to see him with 2 angelic rings) his highest attack rating i remember seeing before was like 56k, of course this was with a combat shrine

azurewrath would be good but i dont play ladder, hence why it wasnt in my set-up

Well last night I upgraded my Pally so I dont think I will be making a Zealot after all. Now my dam is (I'm cant remember exact) 2400-3200 a hit now. I Now am using:
Helm:Shako sock with Um
Arm:Upgraded G Angel sock with Um
Shield:HoZ sock with P diamond
Boots:IK
Belt:IK
Gloves:Dracs
Rings:Raven Frost and a rare resist
Weapon:+3 2 sock Heavens Light with 2 shaels
Ammy:Seraphs Hym
and an Anni charm. He is freakin rockin now!
