Im am curious what character do you think is the best character for offline? without cheating of course :) im thinking zealer or skele mancer but i could be wrong

Blizz sorc still. The survivability of this woman is off the charts.

nah, a necromancer deckout in summon skeletons, revives, with CE and curses would rock. Even if all your minions died, you still have stamina to run, and CE to kill more baddies. with new corpses means new minions. ^^

effective builds i would think are:

paladin
zealer
hammerdin
both have great crowd control

barbarian
i won't go there

necromancer
summoner - you really should never die. as soon as you get decrepify, even the bosses become easy. and i think thats like level 24 or something.
bone spells with bonewall and boneprison to keep yourself safe while you cast spears and spirits.

sorceress
blizzard is very effective. in fact its my favorite spell in the game
who needs fire and light. unless you want to be a fireball orb sorceress.

amazon
lightning can be effective, but i really wouldn't go here. to many immunes later on.
bow amazon but will be kindof gear depenent with finding an awesome bow and stuff.

oh and f*ck the rest i only play classic now :p

Light Javas are not bad at all. I played a hybrid zon to lvl 92 (100% legit) in Single Player when I was at boarding school. You will lose a little bit of damage but this char will still be deviously effective.

Just get Lightning Fury from Java tree (forget about synergies initially) and throw some points in Multishot. It's not bad for larger light immune groups. I also maxed Magic arrow for single target, but it wasn't too useful.

For single Player, I highly recommend a skele mancer. Currently, I have on that is in Act 5 Nightmare, and he's rolling on players 8.

Blizz sorcs would be complete shit in single player. What happens when you run into immunes? You merc isn't going to take them all out. Hybrids are not an option since you don't have the gear. Trust me, after spending hours on your char just to find out that they aren't good enough to make it past nightmare would suck.

Are you going to at least be using PlugY? I think that would help with your stash etc. And you could make ladder runewords which never hurt.

i would either recomend a necro mancer or if u wanna get cool use an elemental druid.. they are good for atleast act 5 Nightmare even with shitty gear on them.. but in order to survive in hell you are going to need good gear that boosts those res's

All Chars are good up until just before hell, necro summoner will take u the furtherest and blizz sorc starts to struggle n act5 with plenty frost immunes and you could probably gear up a merc nicely for her though.
