Days without schedule

Nights without burden

Mornings without coffee

Evenings without boredom


Life is lived


Sleep is slept

Reckless fun with abandonment

Time becomes irrelevant


A job worked


Or perhaps a vacation taken

Freedom to do what one pleases

Stress swept under the rug


The beach beckons


Summer summons

Warm summer nights await

For those carefree souls


The world explored

Finally outside of confinement

Old flames rekindled

New friendships sparked


Restless thoughts unbound

A time of self discovery

Limitless opportunities arrayed

For easy picking


A fleeting moment in time

One miniscule flash

But annually it will return

A reminder of memories past
