i'm lookin to MAYBE mess around with my computer. it's an HP laptop, AMD turion 64x2 1.9.

ok so, w/o getting crazy into overclockin what kind of boost can i expect? 2.4 2.5 ?? can you even add a fan to a laptop? when people say it reduces the life of the computer can you estimate that? like 50% / 20%?

any comments would be helpful

laptops are not the best to OC, if you **** it up, its ****ed it. Hard to get proper cooling too, my recommendation is don't do it with a laptop.

With a Turion proc on an HP laptop I would say don't do it. You'll only fry your system.

and not the mention that laptops already have a heat issue. you would only make it worse

I am lacking in the required post count on this site to post a URL. I am sorry that I did not know this and I will make an effort to correct this.

i don't even have a particular reason to do it. i just like reading the tech stuff. i had no idea how complicated it was.
