1)If u want, u can read tut here (http://www.gfxsector.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=33) on how to blend the render your own way.
2)see pic below
http://img43.exs.cx/img43/7924/howto_blend.jpg PanZer 10-07-2004, 04:29 AM Sry...I have PS 7, and I didnt see that earlier but thx for reposting.... In this tutorial you will learn how to render an image with the Pen Tool opposed to the eraser, extraction tool, etc...
1. Open desired picture you would like to render...
http://jumnious.info/upload/batman1.jpg
2. Select the Pen Tool...
http://jumnious.info/upload/Screenshot4.jpg
3. Make sure settings are as so...
http://jumnious.info/upload/Screenshot3.jpg
4. Zoom in on the image to around 600% and begin to outline the image with the pen tool as close as possible to the section you want to render...
NOTE: The closer you get the less choppy the image will look when back to 100%. (Every small box the pen tool makes is known an Anchor Point)
http://jumnious.info/upload/Screenshot5.jpg
5. After you get around the whole image, reconnect the pen tool with the first anchor point you've created.
It should look like this with a solid grey line around the image you want to render...
http://jumnious.info/upload/Screenshot6.jpg
6. Click the paths tab next to your "History". If you do not have a path's tab, click Window>Paths.
7. Rightclick the only path that should be in that screen known as Work Path. After you've right clicked, select the option "Make Selection...".
Adjust settings as so... Then click ok...
http://jumnious.info/upload/Screenshot7.jpg
8. Now you should have the selection lines around the area you want to render...
http://jumnious.info/upload/Screenshot8.jpg
9. Copy the selected part by simply pressing ctrl+c while the area is still selected...
10. Create a new image with a white background, and make dimensions slightly larger than the dimensions given to you, then Paste the image onto the new background by pressing ctrl+v
http://jumnious.info/upload/Screenshot9.jpg
There you have it... your image is now rendered!
You may have to touch up the render, you can do so by using the eraser tool if need be, but if you got close enough you shouldn't need to...
You can blend the hard lined sides into any background by feathering the selection tool and clicking delete until your sides are blended to your liking...
Good Luck and Happy Rendering!!!

http://upload.d2sector.net/Colorchange4.jpg
4.Now on that same frame you need to hit the tween button and make it 100 frames to make it slow and make sure its previous frame.
http://upload.d2sector.net/Colorchange5.jpg
5.press play and watch it it should fade into your color you picked then it will skip back to the normal color but if you want you can make it fade back into the normal color which i did not do.If you want to do that just repeat the steps but make the duplicated fram the first text color.

Have fun with this tutorial To add to your Tut there Kem, When you first dupe the frame. Make two of them. When you tween from Slide 1-2 leave #3 and then take the last 2 frames after the tweening and tween them so it will change into the color you choose and back again. kurups 10-28-2004, 04:14 PM Murder i cant find text blending options and what do i right click with?

Here is how you get that "feathery feel" with gradients.
You can do this on any layer. So if you have a render on top of a backgound. Do the same thing to the render layer.
I'm going to use my friend Walter.
http://img122.exs.cx/img122/4818/Step1.jpg
1.) Click on your layer and then click on "Add Layer Mask" Like in the picture.
http://img122.exs.cx/img122/9919/Step3.jpg
It will look like this after you clicked it.
http://img122.exs.cx/img122/5103/step6.jpg
Now get your Gradient Tool. If you don't know how to do this Right click the Paint Bucket Tool on the Toolbar.
http://img122.exs.cx/img122/4792/step7.jpg
http://img122.exs.cx/img122/9123/step8.jpg
Now under File Edit etc... Make sure your settings are like this.
http://img114.exs.cx/img114/4792/step7.jpg
Now Here is the fun part. Take your tool and go from center ******ds. Like the pic demonstrates.
http://img114.exs.cx/img114/9123/step8.jpg
It will look like this.
http://img114.exs.cx/img114/2065/step9.jpg
Keep using the Gradient tool untill your happy with it.
Here is my final product.
