Alright to explain the problem I first have to explain some background information.

The game that normally causes this is Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast.
What happens is, its an old game.. crashing isn't irregular for ANY player, normally you just have to go into the task manager and close the 'jk2mp.exe', or start / exit the game. No problems normally.
What had happened is I accidently ran two copies, minimized, closed one, maximized, played. After exiting the desktop was still ultra-bright.

So, the actual problem is is that for the past two days I've been dealing with a blindingly bright screen, and it's getting rather irritating. I've tried resetting my computer, leaving it off for a while, reinstalling my video card's drivers, closing all-but essential applications under my name [via Windows Task Manager] and no, it can't have anything to do with my screen because 1. I never touched those buttons in the first place. 2. I've already lowered the brightness to zero, messed with the contrast, tried the 'restore' function [which just sets it back to the brightness level that I had changed, to default] and I would try AUto Setup but I can't get to it [Grayed out, for some reason.]

So that's it, if anyone could help I would be stunningly grateful.
