I have an old Compaq machine that right now has 1 stick of 512mb ram in it. When I try and stick in any more, it comes up with a boot error saying something about the ram and then restarts. Is there any way to increase the maximum amount of RAM the mobo will handle? Iv got like 5 128 sticks just sitting here and I would love to use em.

Intel Pentium III EB - 933MHz 256 L2 cache

Did you make sure the RAM was the right speed? Safe bet would be make sure it's the same speed as what's in there already. If it's all correct then the only thing you can do is buy a new mobo.
