Hey Guys.

First of all, I would like to respond back to the Graphics Card Thread I Made. Decided to wait for a laptop and when the prices drop, I will get a nice graphic card for this older system.

Now, realizing that, I do have room and saved up enough cash to buy something. I'm deciding on a MP3 player and narrowed down to these 3 options

Creative Zen 8GB - $200
http://www.infosyncworld.com/creative_zen_16gb.jpg

Microsoft Zune 80GB - $250

iPod nano 8 GB - $200
http://www.crunchgear.com/wp-content/uploads/01_large20070905.jpg

Primarily, I will be using it for music but I do have room to put videos on it. These players and small and compact to fit into my pocket That's y each of these 3 players can both play videos.

Q: Which should I But. I'm looking one that will last long and it's reliable. Any inputs would be great.

i recommend the zune, mainly b/c it is cheaper. note i dont own any of the above three myself

I have an old style creative zen, I'd definatly go for the one that suits you most though, I have a 20gig oldstyle zen and it's sound quality is amazing, I've listened to tracks on ipods and compared to the zen the quality is poor.
i don't know anything about zune since they aren't big in the market in england, it's either creative or ipod here.

Zune, ****ing 80gb compared to 8, and the sound is great if you have high quality music, which you would have more room for on the zune.

Not to mention wireless music transfers on the zune.

TY guys. Well I don't plan on using a lot of space, thats y I went for 8GB players, because they are small enough to fit in my pocket. I wanted to buy a Zen Vision:M last year but didn't have the money. Now, these are my better options to chose from.

Might end up getting a Zune, because it has better features then the ipod classic and I dont wanna spend $300-$400 for the iTouch since there will be a better one the year after with more space.

Ty guys.

ty guys for the comments as after 2 months, my report card came in (2 A's and 3 B+'s). i have narrowed my decisions

for the zune, its a no-go mainly because ive tested the zune software and its horrible compared to itunes, cant edit easily and no drag-drop feature

the zen: prefer the ipods scroll wheel so its also a no-go

so its down to the itouch (new considerations) and nano, for the classic (also new consideration), i wont be needing 80g. i will probably end up getting a nano because none of the itouch's features impresses me besides youtube.but for costs, i dont want to spend too much. classic is probably the better deal and itouch will probably last longer, but i am towards the nano. small, easy to use music player. 8g for 2000 songs, i can manage. i got a 1000 song collection. for the itunes, will prob be using winamp instead

so thats it, ty guys for the comments and ima look around tomorrow for a purchase. i choosing a ipod because "of its positive rewiews and customer service"

EDIT: 2nd thoughts go out for the 80g classic

Might want to check ebay, just because my friend bought a new zune on ebay for, I think, half the retail price.

Ok I really dont understand you people. Your at your computer everyday but yet you buy a "80gig" portable Mp3|mp4 player. Key word is Portable. and why do you need 80 gigs of music? if every mb = 1 min thats 80,000 mins, thats 55 Days of NON stop playing. Now lets do some more math if your at you computer for a min of 2 hours a day. I know you all are on alot more than that but its a low number. you will have 666.66666666666668 chances to change your songs before you run out of music to lession to.

Im going to jump right to it

"Coby" makes a 256 512 1gig mp3 player i have a 1 gig. Now lets do my math. 1 min per 1 mb = 1000 mins thats 16 hours of non stop music. know i have 8.3333333333 chances to change my songs if i spent 2 hours a day on my computer.

...... long stoy short I spent $20.00 you spend $250.00. Following? Save your Money its music!

Are you really going to spend $200 for 8gb? and the itouch is a major ripoff, buy a PDA you can get more memory and do more with it and spend the same amount of $.

I still cant believe people would spend $200 on a 8gb music player.

$300 aint bad for 16g, and its a itouch so the features inside of it makeup for the price.

o well, might as well wait longer until this is confirmed

might want to buy a very nice cell phone instead, decisions.

Get something with Windows Mobile 5 or 6, or Palm OS, that way you have a large software base for the device. ITouch just never made sense to me, sorry. Then again neither did Nano's or shuffles.

O yea, 1 few weeks ago I finally picked up a used 30g 5g cideo ipod for $150 because I didn't need 80g but I wanted more then 8g. As for the iPod touch, i'm planning on getting a Nokia n95 which should drop in price and hoping its $400 b4 my birthday on june 27th.

well ty guys for the tips as I picked a larger storage and realized i dont really like switching my music so the larger capacity makes it easier to hold all my music.
