Hi all. I'm going to buy an ASUS M2N-E Socket AM2 motherboard, but it hasn't LPT port. Does anyone use this port nowadays? And what hardware could to plug to this port?

Those things are unheard of. They do not have those in up to date mobos.

are you kidding me?

LPT ports were used back in the day (like 3 years ago) to connect the printer/scanner to the computer. or course by today's standards, you would connect the printer via USB.

i myself am still using LTP ports, mainly b/c i have an older printer.
you do not need an LPT port if the printer you are using is connected to your computer via USB

He ment they are unheard of because USB has completely taken over for them in the past 6-7 years, maybe even longer ago, not that he hasn't heard of them.
