Would there be a big damage difference between eth/non-eth vortex exile?

If the Exile was in a Vortex Shield, how much less damage is it from an Up'ed Hoz? Is that very noticeable in PvP? Because I was planning to just pup duel sometimes and Bm. http://www.blizzsector.net/images/smilies/images/smiliesv2/tongue%281%29.gif

ethereal doesnt change the damage on a shield...

In comparsion of the damage, vortex shield deals more. In dishing out the damage, HoZ is better off since the average damage range is lesser than vortex shield. Vortex shield's damage fluctuates continously, while HoZ remains in a stable damage. In my opinion, exile in a vortex shield is overrated. Exile is better off in sacred targe or rondache. Vortex shield lacks block, with sacred targe/rondache you're better off with a higher percentage block rate and a more stabler damage. Though if I was you I would use HoZ most of the time in public duels. When you really need the defense against a competent barbarian, that is when you switch to exile.

Hm. But if lifetap casts would you suck lots of life out? I'm on my way to making the perfect smiter. But many guides have contradictions.

If you proc lifetap, the duel is over for the other guy, so EvExile would be better for bming.

Hold on. Wouldn't Sacred Targe have better block than Sacred Rondache? Just with a bit more strength? So Targe is better than Rondache no? I have to decide which one I need lol.

Oh and what about Zakarum shield? Its got significantly lower block rate.

you have to remember, you want as many points into vita as possible, so the less the strength the better.

So shouldn't sacred Targe be the best? Its got 60% block along with only 86 strength requirement. While sacred Rondache needs 109 strength with only 57% block.

On a more serious note, Exile is only for people who cannot duel.

I changed my mind and probably going to only use Exile in pvm. I believe it is overrated, and a Ber'ed Hoz should be better.
