I know this gets alot of people going in the "geek" circle.. just wondering whats people's opinion about it here..

Windows. Why? Because its popular. Join the bandwagon.

This is what happens when you walk into a bunch of regular school people especially girls. Hey you guys you know Linux? "Whats Linux?"

This is what happens when you walk into a bunch of regular girls at school. Hey guys you know whats Windows? "Whats Windows?" You know that thing on your computer that says Microsoft Windows every time you turn it on? "Oh, sorry I don't notice."

lol true.. but thats one of my biggest gripes about windows.. its not that its popular.. its because for so many years, it WAS the only thing people will mention/see.. until recently with dell, all you could buy from the major OEMs was windows system.. at a higher cost.. no one would even give you a option.. Dell finally changed that with offering a desktop pc with ubuntu.. at an actual lower cost then if you chose windows.

Yeah and windows is sooooo buggy. With Ubuntu you get no BSODs you get no viruses you get better performance you get a better user interface and better compatability with.... well anything just about. And the best part is every piece of software is free and updates itself through the same update manager. I mean look at this vid. IT speaks for itself.

And thats an old version of beryl. The new windows manage is compiz-fusion. And it looks way better and has more functionality to it.

linux is fast, but annoying to learn
