IDK if people host dedicated servers on XBox Live but they do on SWBF2 at least. I know you can't have dedicateds on Battlefield 2 but I have never messed with Socom online enough to know. GG Xbox.
Servers aren't a problem on XBL, I could pop in the first XBL capable game I can remember (Counterstrike) and it would still have perfectly fine servers running on it. Worst problem I encountered on PS was the fact that servers were so sketchy and hosted individually game to game so one game may have decent online play and the other is like wtf is this shit.

The reason 360 is so popular is;

Wii is a gimmick anyways I wouldn't spend 200$ on that POS. I would rather have buttons than motion, and the only reason it is selling so well is the price tag.

Patience is the key, give it a few years and people will be saying the same thing about the 360 then as they are saying about the PS3 now.

The ps3 didn't base it's marketing on a gimmick however, and i don't think it's going to take years to develop good games.

It's a great gimmick, But the whole family market is fickle. it's good for a while but i can see it going downhill pretty soon.

Sony is not trying to sell the PS3 with motion... When I play games on PS3 I choose to not use motion anyways because I don't want to move around to make my character do something. Not to mention if you are just a little bit off track it could read the wrong motion. Buttons are consistent, motion is a gimmick.

If you're too cheap to pay less than 4 dollars a month for a subscription then just delete all your accounts that are Xbox Live enabled and create a new account, register it for silver live, and it should tell you that you are eligible for a free month. There you go cheap ass.

You can't possibly aruge storyline when Sony has FF. COME ON! The most tired worn out gaming title in existence. They rename the characters and tweak the magic system a little and maybe gar it up with some new GUI and market it as god of the RPG game genre.

Movies, spinoffs? No microsoft title has those, They have made more in ALL MUSIC GAMES AND MOVIE industries than halo ever will.

I have no love affair for Halo. I'm really just pointing out that while PS titles may sell they are all recycled. Nothing new or ground breaking. Just plans to recycle the guarented hits and feign precognizense when a new title actually becomes a hit.
