You posted two threads, so I deleted the other one. Anyway, your current Smiter is a little too noob. I still have a noob Smiter for doing ubers, and once you get the hang of it, they work fine, however you do need a little beefing up.

Do this:
Helm: Guillaume Um'd or Ort'd or Kira 70 Ort (one is more damage, other one is more safety)
Weapon: Heaven's Light Shael +something of your choice
Armor: pretty much anything. Since this was in the beginning of the ladder, I used whatever I could get my hands on, using eth Duriel's for a while, etc. Enigma is a good choice, but it's expensive and as a beginner, I doubt you can get your hands on it. What I found to work quite well was Treachery. Unequip all your gear besides the armor, make sure you're not using Holy Shield and let some monsters hit you until Fade kicks in. Et voila, ubertrist is a child's play.
Shield: Zaka upped. You do kind of need this.
Belt: anything, but good choices are Thundergod's or Verdungo
Gloves: Dracul's
Boots: Goreriders are good
Rings: Raven and Dwarf or Wisp

Skills:
20 Smite
20 Holy Shield
20 Fanatiscm
20 Resist Fire
rest maybe Resist Lightning or something.

Stats:
STR: enough for gear
DEX: enough for max block with Holy Shield
VIT: rest
ENE: none

FraterPerdurabo,

Why 20 in resist fire? Fanaticism should be your main aura right? What does the fire resist do? What about salvation?

What about a wizspike or hoto for weapon? If he's just smiting why does he need a strong damage wep?

I haven't made my smiter yet. Do you know if there is an items pack where I could get an organ set, to test out uber trist out in single player? And some questions about uber trist, you can't tp when you in there right? And mephisto has a conviction aura?

misterdumpling,

Fanatiscm is your main aura. Every 2 points in a Resist Aura passively raise your max resistance to that element by 1. So 20 points in Resist Fire will mean 85% max resist to Fire, while the aura is inactive.

Salvation, waste of points. Only when you have very very very bad gear.

Because the +dam on Grief adds onto your shield damage. Presuming you have a perfect Grief, which has +400 damage, that will add onto your shield damage. I.e. I think upped Zaka does ~70 avg. damage? Cannot remember exactly since I have not been on d2 for ages, but your damage will then be 400+70, before Fanatiscm bonus is applied. And people wonder why Grief is best Smiter weapon.

You cannot go to Ubertrist in Single Player. Actually, I think there is a mod for it, so browse around a little.

You cannot make TPs in Uber trist.

Mephisto has Conviction aura.
