Does the cd have to do with the cd key?
Do we need to have seperate d2 original cd keys?
And um if any of you play a non-west gateway, and you dont mind if someone uses your d2(original) cd key on west,please message me...:(

u need origys i beileve also.. not sure never tried it .. :D

d2loader just loads the game without the use of a cd. when you sign into b.net it uses your cd key to help identify who you are. sometimes it will encrypt this into the d2 files. so if you burned the disc and the original disc was installed into the other comp, your at a loss.

i have 3 different cd-keys but that never happens, i just have to wait for a long time for all of them to get on but the first one has no problem

Do you have 3 different original d2 cd keys? Or 1 d2 original and 3 expansion cd keys?

you cant play classic with expansion. if you are trying that then it wont work.

You mean...he's playing classic and Im playin expansion? No we're both playing expansion, we ahve different cd keys for expansion, but the same cd key for classic, but we can't go on at the same time.

theres your problem. somewhere rooted in the d2folder is your d2classic cd key. if you both have the same one, then right away you cant be on at the same time.

uninstall all ur d2 stuff.
reinstall classic with different cd keys.
reinstall expansion with different cd keys.
have fun.

like Nub said, both cdkeys must be different, it just wont work otherwise....

You don't have to uninstall.


Search for Onlyers CD-Key Changer.

Search through http://www.blizzhackers.com for it. A lot easier than un-installing

Once you have that you can change cd-keys easily.

I dun think same classic cd keys can enable you to play together even though u have a different xpansion cd keys...
