I tried to Spam URLs. I am completely retarded. People like me should know better than to try and Troll these forums. I should be tared, feathered, and beaten with the moron stick. I am utterly incompetent.

Lately this has been pissing me off, bumping threads and adding nothing more than just anger. Why does this happen? At first I thought they advertised stuff and a mod edited the post, but it never says " Last edited by mod and what not"....

it's a new feature that spit added
when a member with below a certain amount of posts posts an URL, that message appears in its place automatically so mods dont have to edit it

It should not anger you. This is an attempt to stop things like when we were attacked by another forum. It is sad that this also affects normal members, but I like it myself.

It is kind of annoying that every other day a new user comes, make a thread, and all it is is that message.

Well maybe the mods want to get to know you, so we know your not trying to spam our forums with junk, i can show you all the stuff we delete every day, that you guys never have to see or deal with. stuff like (in flame section alone) i get stuff like "ZOMFG FREE WOW GOLD WITH A PURCHASE OF $200 USD OR MORE VISIT *****************.com FOR MORE INFO!?!?!????!?!??!?!" and its pointless shit like that, so i think a certin number posts should be requiered to post a link. Spit put alot of thought into that and i think that if you really truly wanna share a link with the world, you should get the requiered post count.

i guess it is helpful, but it could scare away some potential long term members, helping the site to grow, but o well.

there should be a limit, like, vets and higher can permit like 1 url just to see what it is.

Potential being the key word. When they start off spamming URLs and Advertisements,I do not care if they EVER come back personally. That's just me,sorry.

Vet's and higher have nothing to do with it,honey. This was an Admin decision,to protect our site.I happen to fully agree with it,even if it is annoying to true and loyal members,IMO it is good for us over all.

no, what i mean is we have an option that we can see by the username of the underpost victim, that lets them able to like pm us the links they're trying post.

Shift_ sent me PMs to take care of his issue with this,as he is helping Divine in his Mod section, and was getting this often. Those URLs were useful and beneficial to the site,as they were concerning GFX ...stuff.
(yah I am GFX lame...shut up)

You have to take a step back and see the whole picture.Too many clowns were joining and spamming URLs as well as advertisements.

This is clearly unacceptable and against forum rules.
If you wish a rule enhancement in a particular section, please feel free to write it up and PM me with your proposal.Updated guidelines are always welcome,as ...in the end...it is really the members that make this the successful site we have.

I got mad because I tried to link an image that I upload to this site and it still blamed me for spamming URLs.
