hey guys, i got a question for ya's can i have twi graphics cards in a once i got one in my pci express slot and one in my standard pci slot, the manual says to put the card in and on start-up the wizard will want u to put in my drivers disk, BUT my problem is that my moniter wont show up when i have two of my graphics cards in, so i tried to install the drivers first then put in the graphics card and still no dice, my question is there a way to get them both workin at the same time?

If you need more info pm me-- WooT

your mobo probably only supports 1 card at a time, i know there is some way to use 2 PCI ones for 2 seperate monitors, but not sure about PCI x16 and reg PCI... it wouldnt add much of a difference anyways, just use your PCI x16 one

my friend had 2 diamonds runnin 2 screens once before (lol diamonds), i cant remember if he needed to do anything special though. go into your BIOS and make sure that the card in the reg PCI slot is choosen as the main graphics controller, sometimes it might just look at PCI x16

Woo Woo Woo!!!! Stop right there!
Dude! You don't need 2 freaking video cards too run 2 screens at a time man. There is a cable, you could get it at your local Best Buy, Circuit City, Wal-mart, whatever your preference, the cable has 1 end that plugs into your video card, and then 2 ends for monitors, here I'll show you.

Cables To Go Ultima HD15 Male to Dual HD15 Female SXGA Monitor Y-Cable 29610 at TigerDirect.com (http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=485819&CatId=73)

What other reason would you need 2 graphics cards? The PCI express card will outperform anything in a regular PCI slot.

EDIT: I talked to him on msn, his graphics card was not regular PCI, it was AGP, his problem was simple. :b

For nVidia, probably need a sli mobo to combine them at once

ATI, its crossfire.

Because of this, you can have 2 very different graphics cards combined. Since ur mobo doesnt have sli/crossfire, the graphic cards will run seperatly.
