im making a bvb andi wanted to know if i should use fort or enigma...most say fort but some said they do realy good with enigma. a person in game said he did 6.4k with enigma but idk. help plzz. pick one/explain why

i would stick with for for the ED the high defence and its gives u cold armor. its perfect.

it depends, nigma give the 2 skills plus the str bonus, and we all know 1 str = 1% ED for a barb so the higher your level the more str/ED nig gives, nigma also gives max lif +5% where as fort gives X life based on character level, nig has damage reduction fort doesn't, its all based on personal preference, personally, id take the fortitude.

well it always good to have both.
fort for barbs/other melee characters.
nigma for sorcs and shit.

thats kool thnx all of you for responding im gonna put enough stats to use gear with fort then also have a nigma on hand :) oh and if i use a greifz and ss...i would only need a 34 ias greif to get last ww bp? (i tried using the ias calculator) but taht seems weird..like its realy low or something lol thnx again

DR% on Enigma isn't needed since any sane BvB will use Storm + Verdungo = full DR%.

Last time I checked, a sorc is not a barbarian (even though they have the same breakpoints).

34% is correct.
Fort Sacred Armor.
Sacred is a really good choice, but only with perfect gear. It may be a little too much of a STR overkill.

I made a barb on open (hero editor) with fort, arreat, gores, angelic, dracs, etc i basically followed the guide on here but i used a greifz...the on screen dmg was only like 600-1100 or 1200. Is this normal with greif? I have heard about the hidden dmg and whatnot but dont know much about it...I wanted to make a bvb until I saw the sad dmg so idk now.

Edit: maybe it was just something in my hero editor? idk :(

You are doing something wrong, your Axe Mastery lvl is very low. What kind of charms are you using? Post all of your gear.

here goes my gear: Greifz, Fort, Stormshield, Arreats, Dungo, Dracs, Gores, Angelics/raven, torch, anni, only 4 mast gc's now but i can get more easy, and one lvl from BO.

Hmm, i just recently quit Barbs for good i hope, ive spent too much time on them, but after doing BVB for 6+ months, i found that Defense is the way to go. If your only Uswest ladder. Get a bugged Indes Fort, they can have 2.4k Defense, and have high damage.But since i played Useast NL, i found the best armor was Prudence, yes you do exceptionally low Damage, but a bugged Prudence in a Barlog Armor with 3k Defense is Crazy, thats 36k+ Defense, with no Mastery Gcs/Warcrys. The higher your Defense the harder it is you to hit you. When i made the switch from Fort to Evalor, i never lost another BVB duel vs any barb using Fort. The defense on Evalor, Which actually is the same as an AP fort, frosted, put me over the top with other BVBs. Recently, i did testing with a Prudence, and found it to be GG for BVB duels. The last test i did, was No prebuffs, vs a Enchant/Bo prebuff barb, and at the end of the duel, he had only done 1.4k Damage to me, out o fmy 6.3k Life pool. And i had killed 7.4k Life from him. So, from personal Experience which is alot i must say. Defense>Damage in BVB duels, take your pick which you want.

Also, im on a stupid school computer, so for some reason, it wraps everything into 1 paragrahp :/.
