my friend told me about this site the other day. it is an internet radio station that when you go on to, it asks you to enter and artist or song name. then, it rates that artist or song on something like 400 diferent musical characteristics (eg. tempo change, minor key tonality, hard rock roots, etc.) and plays songs that have similar characteristics. basically, you create and internet radio station that is perfectly tailored to you. if you dont like the song, you can ask why it played it. you can also give songs thumbs up or down, depending weather you want to hear more or less of that knid of song... its really cool, you guys should check it out. they have like half a million songs in just about every genre i can think of...

i tried this out, and i have to say it's GREAT. I ran out of music to put on my ipod and i had no idea where to explore next to find what i liked. this is very useful for finding more music you'd like. gives you stations to go back to. Thx man, this is pretty cool i must say.

EDIT: wow this is definantly going on my favorites lol, i'm gonna use this all the time.

This website is pretty cool, I'm enjoying all the free tunes for now.
However, a lot of the match ups I don't really agree with as similar...

oh, here is a loophole...
ordinarily, you can only skip 6 songs per hour, but if you create two stations, you can switch to the other one, then back to the one you were on (the one you want to skip) to advance to the next track.

haha, the only bad thing about the liscencing rughts is if you search it by song, it cannot play that song for you right away, just a song that is similar to it. Also, regarding the match ups being similar, in the beginning it throws alot more at you, but the more you listen to a station, the more refined it becomes. (i had to filter out slayer from my iron maiden station)

I searched up Tool and it gave me Slipknot, what's up with that?

i used refresh but that's actually a better idea. and i made an iron maiden station lol and got slayer. i'll need a bigger chunch of time before i go through a station a lot, right now i'm just pissing around with it.

its not a perfect system, but if you can ban artists permanently from your list by giveing the artist 2 thumbs down or banning them in the stations menu
