Aircraft crashes into N.Y. building
NEW YORK (CNN) -- An aircraft has crashed into the middle of a brick luxury highrise residential building on Manhattan's Upper East Side at 72nd Street and York Avenue, police officials said.

The building is very close to the East River. There was no word on casualties as firefighters battled the flames that shot up from several windows on the 10th story. The Federal Aviation Administration has said a "general aviation" aircraft had hit the building.

A North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) spokesperson told CNN that it had not been tracking the plane.

Witness Sarah Steiner told CNN that fires were burning on the ground. "It looks like the plane just flew into someone's living room there."

"It looks as if the aircraft didn't go into the building but fell down," she said. "It may be part of the debris burning on the ground."

Steiner said that when she arrived, she saw fire shooting out of two windows on approximately the 30th floor of the 50 story building.

Video from the scene shows at least three apartments in the high rise fully engulfed in flames.

Not really a big blow, pitcher loses control after about 6 months of flying his plane, hits a building, 4 people die. How many people are dead in Iraq? More than 600,000 at least.

A household survey in Iraq has found that approximately 600,000 people have been killed in the vilence of the war that began with the U.S. invasion on March 2003. I printed the article out, its about 10 pages long. I'll find the link later.

Are you that ****ing stupid? Well.. the pitcher and the flight instructer and some other guys were in that plane, the people from the ground could hear the engine stutter, then stop all together. He had a wife and a 6 year old kid. =/
