She walked towards the graveyard of so many lost souls
Was there enough room in heaven, or was there no place left to go?
And there were men working, building two more towers for the world
But all that she could think of was her innocent little girl

In her hands were the roses, her daughters favorite scent
And she cried because she hasn't heard her voice ever since
Ever since the day of nine eleven, the day when her heart died
It was her sadness that lived forever, crystal tears that she cried

The war was so confusing, the blood lust that never seemed to rest
But they're doing all they can, and she can't blame the President
But sometimes she wonders, what if her nation never fell
Never learned the power of sadness, never felt the flames of hell?

In her hands were the roses, her daughters favorite scent
And she cried because she hasn't heard her voice ever since
Ever since the day of nine eleven, the day when her life changed
The day that will stand forever, because nothing will be the same

It's been five years since she's seen her, since she's heard her daughter laugh
She knows that it's wistful thinking to think that she's coming back
But it's all that keeps her living, it keeps her from the pain
It keeps her from knowing that this world would never change...
