Ok there have been many threads about cs:s sucking or cs:s is da pwnage. so to clear things up i've made a poll: which is better? cs:s or cs 1.6

is cs:s the real deal or is 1.6 still better overall?

I voted CSS because I thought 1.6 would dominate it, so far it is 3-0 for Source = O

Decided to give 1.6 a little love, I haven't been able to play Sorce for a while.

CS 1.6 is way better than CS:S. CS:S is full of complete noobs. If you are good at CS 1.6 (I am CAL-IM with Liq.s s15 playoffs) and switch over to CS:S you just about will dominate any server so its boring. Stay with 1.6. CS:S Is just better graphics :/

well to me, 1.6 seems like a game with gayass graphics (like one of those old shooting games on dreamcast or something), but cs:s is so much more realistic. there are shadows, the smokes grenades actually conceal you, and flash grenades actually flash you.

all of that you said can happen in cs 1.6, just gotta learn the game ^^

depends on mood, 1.6 definately takes more skill in aiming, but the new radar system to CS:S is spot on. I just don't like how spray seems to fall in CS:S... I go with CS 1.6

What do you expect for a game that is 6 years old? IMO still has better gameplay, which is what really makes a game (I don't want to start the next-gen system debate again)

uh... plz don't talk come on, i play Day of Defeat and have played CAL for 4 years and every clan ive faces has been accused and guess what CAUGHT of cheating

also i play CS:S DOD DODS CS CZ CS CZ and i know hacks in all of them played leagues in all of them know people who still play leagues and guess what.... THEY ALL HACK!!!!!!

Wow, you guys have really low standards. I've played CS with some of the best players in the world (not that I'm that good, it's just that I've got to know them. One of my best friends was in one of the best clans in Estonia), and none of them hack. Sure, they've all tried hacks (I have as well, wanted to try WH once, and screwed around in a pub for 30 min), but none of them ever used hacks in actual tournaments and clan matches.

Read what I wrote maybe? :S I never denied the fact that your friends cheat, I just thought that it was really lame of them, hence low standards.

Fleaflicker your an idiot. people in cal matches don't ****ing hack you have to demo so much. idiot your whole clan has to sumbit the demo for proof if you are suspected and to show your not on 16bit so that you can see the smoke.

imo, 1.6 is better. better gameplay, better hitboxes, better people will skill.
