The chest ****head. It even says it right on that link.

The electricity went through the chest and around the heart, lungs, and rib cage.

What a shame; he was a good man (no matter how crazy he seemed at times playing with some of the animals he dealt with). He was great with animals, and he was a great husband and father to his family. The care that he took with his Australian Zoo was amazing, and is is a shame to see something like this happen. It just shows you that even the most adventuresome man can be suddenly stricken down by something like a stingray (as opposed to something more dangerous like a black mambo or some of the other various crazy animals he dealt with). I enjoyed watching him on Animal Planet, and I always found his shows interesting.

RIP Steve Irwin.

Good post Jedi.

RIP Irwin. People thought he was crazy but the man knew what he was doing around the animals and never put himself into serious danger. Just happend to swim over the Stingray a little too close and a split second later he has a hole in his chest.

Was a good man and one of the most famous activists of the envoiorment. Sad to see him go.

i heard that like only 3 people in the last 100 years ave died from sting rays. that's sorta ironic. RIP croc hunter

It is ironic that all the stuff he got away with and some of the animals he dealt with... and a sting ray killed him. I would have figured hed get bit by like a black mamba and be stuck in the jungle or something. Not a stingray.

there is no electricity. the stingray's sting went through his chest and straight into his heart. that's why it was so lethal

but that's beside the matter

rest in peace, steve

Electricity?

To be more exact, he was struck in the chest, and some of the venom (yes, they have venom on their "spikes") off the "spike" went into his heart, so he actually died due to a cardiac arrest.

I wonder if it was like instant death. Cause if not that would be quite painful.
